All employees should have read the Emergency Evacuation and Exit Plan and fully understand it.
The ASSEMBLY POINT should be away from danger. Emergency Evacuation and Exit plan should be review on
periodically by EH&S Deptt. Know the location of your Emergency exits Know the location of the nearest fire alarm pull station and fire
extinguisher and others Emergency Services.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires emergency evacuation plans under 29 CFR 1910.38
IN THE EVENT OF a Fire, Chemical Spillage, Toxic material release, Gas leakage, etc….
Proceed to nearest exit in an orderly fashion, closing doors behind you.
Assemble at the designated Assembly Point. Provide ERT representatives with information about people
still in the building & other information. Never re-enter a building until instructed to by the fire
deptt, or EH&S deptt. DO NOT USE ELEVATORS. Use Stairway. All doors should be checked for People. Procedures for employees who remain after the alarm to perform
critical duties A system for accounting for people after evacuation; Procedures for assisting people with disabilities.

Practice the Drills as often as necessary to keep employees prepared. After each drill, gather management and employees to Evaluate the effectiveness of the drill.Identify the strengths and weaknesses of your plan & work to improve it.Include outside resources such as Fire & Ambulance when possible.
Stay low if there is smoke in the area. Feel doors before opening - if hot to the touch, find another
avenue. Close doors behind you upon leaving. If trapped in an area, close the door, use available material to pack
under the threshold openings, and call or signal for help.
