Why S.A.D ???

Customers are not aware of specials offered in Supermarkets?

A lot of perishables are thrown away.

Customers waste time in searching for better priced and location of items

Handbills and Posters are expensive and don’t reach everyone.

How can you get more of your customers aware of specials, and save time and money for both customers and the shop itself in the most efficient,

considerate and effective way?

What is it???

A simple device that would allow any supermarket to advertise products on sale within the store via an led display or directly to a customer’s phone via sms.

It’s a small 30x30 cm cost efficient device that may be connected to many led displays simultaneously.

It sends sms’s to customers informing them of any latest specials and any other relevant information useful to that particular customer.

MARKETING ANALYSIS

•Market research was done in the library at the University of Cape Town targeting a student population.

•From the pie chart we observe that most people were in favour of the system

•Further research targeting other groups must still be done.

Conclusion

The Supermarket query device is design especially for Supermarkets and Hypermarkets.

According recent South African statistics done by the telecommunication companies about 69.2% owns cellular phones,so specials offered by supermarkets will reach most people.

Our device reduces the advertising cost and increases the market, by simply communicating with your customers in an efficient and effective way.

The supermarket query is a standalone unique device.
