    Thank you for serving as the Faculty Sponsor of an SEG Student Chapter. We hope that you and your students areenjoying your SEG member benefits and taking advantage of the many opportunities available through the Society.

    You will soon be receiving the 2012 membership dues statement, if you havent already. Your student chapter qualifies youfor the Emerging Nations Program under the SEG Foundation. Through this program, you will receive a free membershipfor 2012. To qualify for your free membership you must be an active Faculty Advisor for an active Student Chapter. Pleaseprovide a current officer list (such as President, Secretary, Treasurer, etc.), the date that elections are held, when officerstake office, and updated contact information for your student chapter. You may submit this information online by visiting here. Upon receipt, the SEG Business Office will verify the information and submit your renewal to the Membership

    Department.

    If you are already a SEG member you only need to submit the above information and upon receipt we will re-instate yourmembership. If you are not a member I have attached an application for Associate membership or Active membership(coded EM NA). Please fill this form out and return it with the above information to become a member and to receive your

    free SEG membership. Please note, I must receive notice from you to enroll you in the program via email by15 January 2012.

    In addition to your Emerging Nations Student Chapter benefits we would like to invite any student who is pursuing a degreein the field of Geosciences to a free SEG student membership. Student membership is FREE due to a generoussponsorship from Paradigm and CGGVeritas. We have enclosed additional Student Membership and AssociateMembership application forms for your convenience. You are welcome to download Student and Associate Membership

    Applications from our website at membership applications. Please encourage other geosciences students in theirdepartment (as well as other faculty members) to apply for membership.

    University and Student Programs Specialist, Melissa Presson, will provide SEG Business Office liaison for your studentchapter. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact Melissa at (918) 497-5584 [email protected]. She will be happy to assist you.
