Dear new students and families -
We are excited to welcome you to the Elon community Attending college is an incredible and exciting opportunity but it is also a milestone transition for students and families Your Elon experience will be an exciting and ever-evolving one where you will explore your academic passions prepare to be a successful professional and make lifelong friends
As a student my advice to the incoming class is to seek out the opportunities that you want to have Elon offers many ways for students to grow especially given that learning and development occurs simultaneously in and outside the classroom throughout your experience With the number of opportunities Elon offers comes a responsibility for students to be engaged learners and look at pathways for holistic growth including your intellectual social physical emotional and spiritual development
Elon has a unique culture and energy surrounding its students As you lean into the opportunities and
challenges you will experience also lean into the support systems within the Elon community Faculty and staff are here to support your development academically personally and professionally and your fellow students will be there to celebrate your successes and help you through any hard times Expect to be challenged as a student and as an individual but from those challenges expect personal growth Allow yourself time along this journey to reflect on the growth and change that is happening in your life
