Use case • The pilot implementation of VIRTECH Healthcare Case will be deployed by the end of 2012.• The Equipment supplied will consist of 2 servers and 6 wireless ECG devices.• The participants in the pilot will be medical doctors from that hospital for “Doctor” users and hospital‘s patients as “Patient” users.• Living Lab approach based on VirtSOI Living Lab

Diagnostics services:• Supraventricular extrasystoles • Ventricular extrasystoles • Supraventricular extrasystoles in bigeminiya • Ventricular extrasystoles in bigeminiya • Absolute arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation) • Missed heartbeats • Bradycardia • Tachycardia • Atrial fibrillation• etc


- Observation and advice services will be given to medical staff.

- These services will be implemented by using Smartphones. These services will have 7X24 availability.

---Most important features exposed are: • Alerts to Doctors when a critical state of a patient has

been recognized;• Access to patient related data in real time mode;• Live communication to patient when necessary.• Alerts to Ambulance in critical when patient’s health in

endangered


The Patients’ access and communication via Smartphone will comprise following main functionality:• Self observation at patient understandable

level;• Advices from the system or medical staff

when necessary;• Live contact with observing Doctor.• Sending call for help in critical situations.


Expert system services will be supplied in two cases:• Immediate advice to Doctors in concrete situations;• Training services.

Business intelligence will be applied when a large amount of data will be gathered. It will be used for finding correlation between raw data, diagnostics and future development of patients’ state. Main goal it to establish trusted predictions of heart related diseases on the base patient measurements form sensors and knowledge gathered.Communication to ELLIOT Experimental platform via HYDRA middlewareCloud services. After the pilot implementation the proposed medical system will extended and migrated to a cloud
