FROM HOD DESK

Vacation period has come to an end and another monsoon has

come welcoming the new academic year. I hope that the faculties and

students have enjoyed their vacation. Classes are about to begin for all

odd semester students. Also, new batch of students are coming to the

campus and I hope that they are going to enjoy a very good campus life

for the next 4 years.

This year also the IEEE IAS student branch under EEE depart-

ment has bagged 3 international awards. Student branch counselor Ms.

Shelma George, AP-EEE together with 4 students of EEE department

can attend IEEE IAS annual meet going to be held at USA to receive the

awards . It is a proud moment for the department and I specially congrat-

ulate all the faculty members and students behind this achievement.

Haritha A.V & Jesvin Pinto of S8 EEE with Ms. Shelma George, AP EEE has got

first prize in Humanitarian Project contest under the category of security conducted

by IEEE Industrial Applications Society (IAS).

Priyadarshan C.V. , Pranav Thomas , Akash T John , Abhilash A and Nikhil K George

of S8 EEE guided by Ms. Jyothi Joseph, AP-EEE has got third prize in IAS Myron

Zucker Engineering Contest 2017 for the GEARO E-BIKE.

Robin Thomas , Jithin Vidhya Ajith, Jintu Vincent and Sidharth Pattathiri of S6 EEE

got third prize in Robotics Demonstration contest conducted by IEEE.
