Caring for the Elderly

In this fast-moving cyber age, growing nuclear family culture and disturbed service network in large cities, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the elderly to access various services needed by them. Unable to do anything about their hapless condition, they often lead a deprived and lonely life, stoically bearing all their tribulations in silent agony.

Senior citizens are invaluable to the society. They are veritable knowledge banks, with experience gathered over several decades of going through various vicissitudes in their lives and careers. Today’s young adults and teens are duty-bound to respect their elders and show them the compassion that they rightly deserve. To enrich their lives, the UN emphasizes their ‘independence, participation, care and self-fulfillment’.
