Styles of Listening Exhibited by the Characters;1) The faker – Ali during the conversation with the
principal (Miss Courtney.2) Critical Listening - the Principal during the
interaction with Ali3) Biased Listening – Miss Courtney (Principal) during
the conversation with Mr. Brown the new teacher4) The Interrupter – Ali when Mr. brown was
introducing him self to the class and Mr Taro who interrupted when Anna Scmidt was introducing her self.

Physical Appearance. Ali Nadeem, Miss Courtney and Mr Brown
Facial Expression. Facial Expression is almost throughout the entire film. Example the conversation with Ali Nadeem and Miss Courtney and Mr Brown and Miss Courtney. Also between Mr Brown and Ranjeet Singh.
Body language-movements, Postures and Gestures. Mr Brown and the students during the introduction class. Mr Brown and Max and Giovanni Cupello.
FIRST CLIP: MIND YOUR LANGUAGE-SEASON1-EP1
1)Overload of Message: Ali listening to Miss Courtney, While she is giving directions to the classroom.
2) Ego/Pride: When Ali firstly encountered Mr. Brown outside Principal’s Office.
3) Environmental barrier: When the lecturer, Mr. Brown arrives at classroom and tried his best to convey greetings to students but noise was a barrier.
4) Perceptual Barriers: When Lecturer told students that he is brown, and Ali interfere and told lecturer that he and Jamila is brown where as Lecturer Mr. Brown is white.
5) Linguistic Barriers: The conversation between Lecturer and “Por Favor” character.
6) Lack of listening preparation: Mostly Characters were lacking of listening preparation

Styles of Listening Exhibited by the Characters;
1. Biased Listener – Mother (Judy) during the conversation with the daughter (Lauryn) about getting her a belly button ring
2. The Dependent listener – Dad (Bill) when daughter asked for a belly button ring and he asked for permission from the Judy.
3. The interrupter – Judy and Bill when trying to discuss the request made by their daughter, they continuously interrupted her speech.
4. Critical Listening – when the son is getting advice from the dad Bill

1) Ego/Pride: Conversation between Lauryn and her Mom.
2) Prejudiced and Biased: The first conversation between Lauryn and her parents. Her parents being prejudiced and biased while listening to her.
3) Poor retention in Dialogue: The arguments between Husband and wife on husband’s sister in law visiting them with her boyfriend.
