On scrutiny of the application submitted by the institution, the documents attached therewith, the inputs received from the visiting team, the Committee has noted the following: i. ii. III. The institution has acquired the land for setting up the teacher education institution. The institution is functioning from its own building. The institution has selected the Principal, 05 (five) permanent faculty members and 04 (four) temporary faculty members on consolidated salary of RS.4000/- for the said course and the list of faculty members has not been duly approved by Registrar of the affiliating university. 3. NOW,therefore, in exercise of the powers vested under Section 14{~) (a) of the NCTE Act, 1993,theEastern Regional Committee hereby grants recognition to Gandni - Centenary B.T.College, PO- Habra - Prafullanagar, Dist- North 24 Parqanas, y¥est Bengal - 743268 for B.Ed. Course of one year duration from the academic session 2006-2007 with an annual intake of 100 (one hundred) students subject to the compliance of the following conditions before the commencement of the course: a) The institution will ensure that Principal and at least 07 (seven) faculty members duly qualified as per NCTE norms are in position for an intake of 100 students before the commencement of the course and a report to this effect shall be sent to the Eastern Regional Committee within one month of thecommencement of the course. _. , b) The institution shall submit a list of teaching staff duly countersighed by the competent authority of the affiliating University within one month of the commencement of the course. -.."', c) The institution shall pay salary to the teaching staff as prescribed by State Govt.! 4. Further, the recognition is subject to fulfillment of all such other requirements as maybe prescribed by other regulatory bodies like UGC, the State Government etc.

5. The institution shall submit to the Regional Committee a Performance AppraisalReport at the end of each academic year along with a copy of the approval of theaffiliating University to the appointment of faculty members, and the statement of annualaccounts duly audited by a Chartered Accountant.

WHEREAS,in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) ofSection 32 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 (73 of1993), and in supersession of the National Council for Teacher Education[Recognition-I"J-orrns-andfro-ce-dure] Regulations, 200~: the NotlonclCouncllfor teacher Education has notified the Regulations, 2014 on 01.12.2014.

2. AND WHEREASthe institution viz. Gandhi Centenary B.T.College, HabraPrafullanagar, North 24 Parga nos, West Bengal-743268 was grantedrecognition for conduct of B.Ed. course of one year duration with an annualintake of 100 from the academic session 2005-2006 vide ERC order no. ERC/7-63.6.2/2005/2188 dt.04.01.2006.

3. AND WHEREAS,the institution viz. Gandhi Centenary B.T.College, HabraPrafullanagar, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal-743268 has by affidavit dated28.01.2015 consented to come under New Regulations 2014 and sought forOne Basic Unit in B.Ed.course.

4. AND WHEREAS,it has been decided to permit the institution to haveOne Basic Unit of 50 students subject to fulfilling following conditions, namely,

I. The Endowment fund of Rs.5 lakhs and Reserve fund of Rs.7 lakhs keptin joint account with >Regional Director of NCTEshould be maintained_~[petually. Loan raising against or mortgaging of FOR's shall not be--- -- - ~---- ~---------done.

II. The institution sha-llcomply with the various other norms and standardsprescribed in the NCTEregulations, as amended from time to time.

III. The institution shall make admission only after it obtains affiliation fromthe examining body in terms of clause 8(10) of the NCTE (RecognitionNorms & Procedure) Regulations 2014.

IV. The institution shall ensure that the required number of academic staffduly approved by affiliating body for conducting the course shouldalways remain in position.

5. Now therefore, in the light of the above and in terms of Section 14(3)(a) of NCTEAct and in accordance with the Regulations, 2014, the EasternRegional Committee, NCTEhereby grants recognition to Gandhi CentenaryB.T. College, Habra Prafullanagar, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal-743268 forconducting B.Ed. Programme of two years duration with an intake of 50 forOne BasicUnit of 50 students from the academic session2015-2016.

6. Further, the recognition is subject to fulfilment of other requirements asmay be prescribed by NCTEfrom time to time and other regulatory bodieslike UGC, affiliating University/ Body, the State Government etc. asapplicable.

7. The institution shall submit to the Regional Committee a Self-AppraisalReport at the end of each academic year along with the statement ofannual accounts duly audited by a Chartered Accountant.

8. The institutions shall maintain & update its web-site as per provisionsofNCTERegulations and always display following as mandatory disclosure:-

a) Sanctioned programmes along with annual intake in the institution:b) Name of faculty and staff in full as mentioned in school certificate

along with their qualifications, scale of pay and photograph.c) Name of faculty members who left or joined during the last, quarter:d) Names of Students admitted during the current sessionalong with

qualification, Percentage of marks in the qualifying examinationand in the entrance test, if any, date of admission, etc.:

e) Fee charged from students;f) Available infrastructural facilities;g) Facilitiesadded during the last quarter;h) Number of books in the library, journals subscribed to and additions,

if any, in the last quarter;i) The affidavit with enclosure submitted alOng with application.j) The institution shall be free to post additional relevant information. If

it so desires.k) Any false or incomplete information on website shall render the

institution liable for withdrawal of recognition.

If the institution Contravenes any of the above conditions of the provision ofthe NCTEAct, Rules, Regulations and Orders made and issued there under,the institution will render itself liable to adverse action including withdrawal ofrecognition by the Regional Committee under the provisions of Section 17 (1)of the NCTEAct.
