GRADUATION COLLECTION 02 03My graduation collection is named “Boundless”, and it´s inspired mainly in Alejandro Jodorowsky´s work and philosophy, also in “Crystalline” by Björk.
Boundless is a prêt-à-porter collection, directed to a target of professional men and women, over 24 years. Opinion leaders, creative souls, art and design lovers.
The collection has a rich selection of fabrics and materials including basic tailoring cool wool, silk chiffon, satin, poplin and wool jersey, as well as printed and technical materials such as neoprene, lycra, pvc, etc.
Garments create visual effects between the colors, transparencies and overlays, shines, metallic prints and details.
The resources used are a mixture of traditional techniques and
crafts such as embroidery, dyeing, smocking, pleating, and other modern and experimental techniques and applications of PVC, metal plates, digital printing, foil stamping and fabric fusion. The details are treated with special importance and give character to the garments.
The next pages show the mood, research and some of the work in progress of the development of my collection.
BOUNDLESS
Within our skin, there is an infinite and impersonal being. This awareness does not know the proper li-mits of society and mankind. Like a crystal buried in the depths of a cave, this authentic being glows
waiting to be discovered.
Getting rid of rational darkness and embracing their eternal light.
Boundless wants to reflect a being that is unleashed from its human boundaries by rejecting the cons-traints imposed by reason and allowing your imagi-nation to take you beyond. Someone who believes that he can be more than human, for whom the skin
is no barrier ... there are no limits.

The objective of this project was to deepen in the real process of creatieng a fashion collection, and to cover as many aspects as possible.
My collection is called “Pretty is not enough”, and it is based in a trend named “Eclectic Casualwear”. It is composed of 12 outfits, result of testing on dummy, sketching and research.
The mood of the collection is a fusion of handcraft, urban graphics and youth anti-fashion.It´s an excentric, extravagant rebellion.
As obteined from japanese action figures, colors are bright and saturated. In the other hand, the materials are more basic and versatil, so they can be manipulated and transformed.
I made one garment of the collection (a parka) in a basic cotton fabric. With it, I did a
photoshoot in neutral tones. Later, I hand-painted the garment to bring it closer to the subject and made a second shooting, with free location and styling by myself.
This specific project, helped me to try and to do things that I have never done before, and to cover more aspects of the process of designing. I really liked the result.

34This coleccion is named “Boy Lilikoi” and it´s inspired in the song with the same name by Jónsi. It is formed of 10 complete outfits made por a man who is adventurous, brave, free and youthful.
The song talks about a human who is deeply connected with his natural side, with his beast inside. He´s like a bird, completely free in the enormous forest, sorrounded of the colors of the earth, the rocks, the sky, but with an inner color explosion of his own plumage.
A playful, instinctive and energetic atmosphere of freedom fills the collection.
Talking abour fabrics, the selection includes natural fibers like cotton, linen and wool, which are intended to give the impression of nature, whilst the manipulation by hand dyeing and printing, transmits the shocking
color of savage birds.una fuerte personalidad que refleja en su manera de vestir. The type of clothes is a mix between tailoring and sportswear, with a casual attitude.
I made a jacket from the collection, which was made of a hand dyed cotton. It required many testing to get to the final result.

46For this project, I created a comercial womens collection of knitwear. Made of 10 garments inspired in the Hierophant, the high priest of ancient Greece. In the Tarot, this character represents the bond between humans and god.
The selection of colors is based in the stories about the Hierophant, which include purple, granate, ocher, golden and dark blue.
The garments are full of details, specially mixing different types of knitting, along with some other treatments like prints, applications and dyeing.
The yarns are diverse, from texturized and twisted yarns, to printed and metallic ones. A lot of wool, mohair and some lurex.
This mix of textures and materials is thougth to transmit the idea of sacred relic. The idea of a powerful yet espiritual woman.

I made two different projects. The first one is based in the poem “Ajedrez” by Jorge Luis Borges. This poem speaks about war, human behaviour, duality, tension, domination, and the fiction of god.
I made a pair of earrings with plastic stripes, the ones that are used to close bags or cases. I chained them and formed two drop-formed rings, then I secured them in the position I wanted with some glue. The structure that this forms is very interesting, as the stripes mantein certain tension and create a radial effect. It looks aggressive, misterious, dark.
The second project consisted in create a personalized accesory for one friend. To make it, I had to delve into the personaity of Paula, my friend. I learned about her dreams, her relationships, her background, her plans for the
future, and much more.Everything was usuful, the accesory had to be as personal as possible, and suit her in real life.
The result are three removable shirt necks. Each one different, and made for the romantic, yet a bit dark, personality of Paula.Theres one made of rabbit fur, another made of silk and real feathers, and a last one embroidered with black cristals and beads. These shirt necks are full of fantasy and they also are romantic and bucolic with sinister twist, just like Paula.
ACCESORIES 51 52
53 PRINTING PROCESSThe printing process project consisted in create an artistic book of hand-made prints over fabric, using serigraphy and transfer techniques and any other manipulation with materials that are not necessarily used in prints. The book had also to be an accesory.
The main concept for the project were the four elements: wind, water, fire and earth.
I picked fire and wind because of their dynamic nature. They are noticed because of the transformations they generate. They are noisy and claim for attention. Together they create a hot atmosphere.
This led me to a research for fabrics and visual elements that reflected all these aspects.
Alongside serigraphy and transfer, I did hand-painted motifs, embroidery with beads and
metallic plates, applications of zippers, feathers, wax, and many more things.
The result was an incredible book which can be used as foulard. As it is very long and the prints have a magic aesthetic, it gives a very mystical feeling.
