Proposal (to get your comments):Introduce LCD project as “tree structure” in EDMS
… and before you protest too much …NB. A full-text search engine for EDMS is being developed, is close to being released

Document “Cycle” – simple version (my preferred one...)
Some Key Features (non-exhaustive):• material is kept in a common place
• material is accessible to everyone
• back-up is automatic (and guaranteed)
• versioning / status of documents very helpful - tracking back is easier (“obsolete” documents will be kept)
• facility for notification, e.g. to ask for comments (by e-mail)
• decent search facility available (soon)
• last but not least : EDMS Viewer (put the whole LCD tree on your laptop)https://espace.cern.ch/edms-services/faq/EDMS%20related%20tools/How%20to%20use%20the%20EDMS%20Viewer.aspx
Proposal:
start working with EDMS Support “now” (Rachel Bray)
agree on main tree structure (can be changed... additions made...)
