Editing The Duck Song

Remember every time you change something within the clip click the buttons “command” and “R”, this will render you clip so you are

able to look at the improvements you’ve just made.

Importing

Firstly before editing the chosen clip you must import the clip by locating the file button at the top of the screen, hover over the import button and choose files.

Locating The Required Document

My documents will open and you will then search for the clip you wanting to import and click on the button “choose”.

You may also import a clip using the log and transfer, depending on which you prefer.

Applying The Clip Onto TheTimeline

One your clip is chosen you will then drag the sequence and place onto the timeline.

You will then select part of the sequence that your wanting to dissolve by highlighting the specific part and dragging to the preferred location.

Once the sequence is dropped into the new location you will add a cross dissolve so that the clip will run more smoothly.

To add a cross dissolve you locate the effects button, scroll down to video transitions and hover onto dissolve which will locate you to a third tab in which you click the button “cross dissolve”.

You will then highlight the effects button, scroll down to video transitions which will locate you to a second tab, following this you will then highlight dissolve and click on cross dissolve.

Now when you look at your located sequence you can see that the cross dissolve has correctly being placed in my timeline.

Using The Razor Tool To Cut

To crop you use the razor tool located to the right hand side of the page and highlight the section that your wanting to cut.

Using The Selector ToolTo Crop

Once you have selected the sequence you want to cut, use the arrow selector tool to highlight the sequence before clicking the button “delete” on your keyboard.

The sequence that was previously highlighted is now deleted.

Exporting

To export the click locate the “file” button at the top left hand side of the screen scroll down to export and click on the button “using Quicktime Conversation” your clip will now be exported.
