to them as they are working on their assignment.2. TW explain that showing respect to others is how we treat each other.3. TW explain that another way of showing respect for our neighbors and community is by

keeping things picked up and clean.4. TW explain that today we are going to show our school Numa Elementary that we respect it by

cleaning up the grounds.5. TW take students outside and group them up either 2 or 3 persons in a group. If some parents

come and help, then they can take them to other areas of the school. If no one shows up, have them work in one area, then move on to another.

7. When done, TW take students in and have them wash their hands. 8. TW discuss that in order to keep the grounds looking nice and showing respect is to throw our

garbage away in a garbage can and not the ground.9. TW do a ticket to leave, but having the students write one thing in their journal on what they can

do to help in the community and show respect to those around them.

Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding?

Their journal telling of what the students can do to show respect to others and the community.

Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. Students will be able to explain what they can do to help out in the neighborhood and show

respect to others. Hopefully, this will help them put into practice what they learned.

H. Closure: Sharing with a partner how they can show respect to others and their

neighborhood.

I. Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach?

All parts of this lesson will be easy to teach. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach?

Making sure the students are following instruction and doing what is asked of them.

3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson?Having 2-3 different visitors from the community like a police officer, firefighter, doctor, etc. come into the classroom and explain what they do to help the people out in the community.

4. What can you do for students who don’t grasp the concepts?I don’t think that the students will have a hard time understanding this concept. They are applying what they have learned and how they can show respect to others.

5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change?I can’t think of anything that I would change in the lesson.

6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part?I didn’t really have trouble with writing this plan.
