THE FIRST FIVE YEAR PLAN (1955-60)
The First Five Year Plan 1955-1960 of Pakistan was prepared by the planning board in 1955. It was established in May, 1956 for eliciting public opinions. In the light of suggestion received from the private and official resources, the draft plan was revised and approved by NEC on April, 15 1957

THE SECOND FIVE YEAR PLAN (1960-1965)
The Second Five Year plan was launched in July, 1960 and completed by June, 1965. The plan was achieved in the light of experience gained during the implementation of First Five Year Plan. Efforts are made made by planning to overcome the weakness which appeared in the First Five Year Plan.

THE THIRD FIVE YEAR PLAN (1965-70)
The Third Five Year Plan was formulated within the frame-work of the 20 years long term Perspective Plan .It was the first phase of the Perspective Plan 1965-85 and was prepared in the light of experience gained in the implementation of the previous plans.

FOURTH FIVE YEAR PLAN(1970-75)
The Fourth Five Years Plan, like the third Plan was prepared within the frame-work of the long term Prospective Plan 1965-85 .The size of the Fourth Plan was Rs.7,50,000 crore, out of which Rs.4,90,000 crore was allocated for development in the public section and Rs.2,600 crore in the private sector .
