I FLY - SPENCER LEEThere’ a time in your life

When the world is on your sideYou might not feel itYou might not see it

But it surrounds you like a lightMakes you stronger for the fight

Never letting goGotta learn to grow

Watch me as I touch the skyStill I fly

Now I know it’s what I gotta doFind a dream that’s newGive it all I got this time

Still I flyStill I fly

Feel the wind all aroundAll the courage to be found

Who knows what’s out thereI know I’ll get thereOh off into the sun

I know I’m not the only one that’s

(Refrain)

Breathe it inI’m gonna shineIt’s my moment

Gotta live and live it rightI’m flyin

Flyin so strong

I’m movin’ (x2)I’m movin’ on

(Refrain)

GUIDE TO HOLY WEEKTUESDAY: In place of regular ECHO reunion, join community members in the church for Stations of the Cross with meditation included. Family and friends are welcome. The Stations will begin at 7:30pm. If you’d like to hold a candle, please meet in the church at 7pm. Refreshments and fellowship will follow in the reunion classroom. The Stations take approximately 45 minutes.

THURSDAY: There is no reunion. We encourage everyone to attend Holy Thursday mass. There are 7pm masses at the following churches that night: Christ the King, Corpus Christi, Holy Trinity, Our Lady of Assumption, Our Lady of Victory, St. Anthony’s, St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Francis Xavier, St. John’s, St. Patrick’s, St. Pius X.

FRIDAY MORNING: ECHO will once again be participating in the Good Friday Canal Walk, which celebrates its 39th year this year. Meet at the Railroad Bridge in Buzzards Bay Park on the off-Capeside of the Cape Cod Canal just before 9am. The walk starts promptly at 9am. Participants walk to the Herring Run in Sagamore Beach and back participating in the Stations of the Cross along the way. In total, the walk is approximately 3.5 hours. All are welcome back at Mary Fuller’s for grilled cheese sandwiches after the walk. *** A reminder to dress warmly! Regardless of the forecast for that day, the ocean is very cold, and it is always windy at the Canal. You can always take layers off if you’re warm. Wear appropriate footwear as well.

The Good Friday Canal Walk, in addition to being a wonderful way to spend Good Friday, is also a fundraiser for the KareDrew Haitian Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization working to improve the lives and living conditions of children in Haiti. The organization was begun by two ECHO friends, Vivian and Pat Tortora. If you wish to make a donation, feel free to bring it to the walk on Friday. Checks can be made payable to KareDrew Foundation. All donations are tax deductible.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON: At 3pm, members of the ECHO community will take part in Christ the King Youth Ministry’s Living Stations of the Cross in the church in Mashpee. All are invited to attend.
