This Issue
As I write this (July 27, 16) it is 119 days until Thanksgiving, 150 days until Christmas and only 157 until 2016 is over. Time moves along swiftly, especially when you are busy and active. I am now us-ing my clock for a fan because time is moving so fast it puts off a breeze. Just kidding…well mostly. But I will have to say it has been a great summer in the life of our church. The summer mission project to King’s Academy was a great success. VBS was beyond wonderful and then the summer camps for youth and children were superb. This was due in a large part to the volunteers that keep the wheels moving here at EUBC. I want to express a great big THANK YOU to everyone who works for the Master. Why do they do it? First, it is because they love their Lord. Fear and guilt are bad motivators and many try to move people to do things with them. However, the greatest motivation to do is love. Sec-ond, they love the children and youth. Many invest precious time and resources into the next genera-tion to not only tell them that Jesus loves them but to show them. Then I think another reason is they love their church. I have expressed many times that I think EUBC is a great church. Perfect no but a great church because of the love we have here. I would also like to remind us of some other exciting things coming. One is Homecoming 2016. Tom Suitor, former pastor, will be here to speak. We are planning a Saturday night singing as a part of the festivities this year as well. Time to get excited! Then there will be the musicals and children’s play that is always great. Yes, time is moving but times are exciting. A By the way in case you are interested it is 329 days until summer begins in 2017. Why is this im-portant? The first day of summer is my birthday. I love you guys. Edgar

We try to include all members in our anni-versary and birthday lists. If your name is not listed we may not have your informa-tion. Please contact the office to verify that we have the correct anniversary and birth-dates. Thank you!
In August we are recognizing a group of volun-teers that help keep the church building in good shape. The House and Grounds Committee. The new chairman is Rus Carter. Committee members are Wayne Kemp, Vonnie Wiggins, Randy Honey, Ed Ervin, Terry Hopkins, Allen Castleman. We want to give special thanks to Tommy Hatchett who is the out going chairman. The committee needs your help in insuring that repairs are made in a timely manner. If you see a problem report it to one of these members or pickup a form from the mailbox in the office hall-way and fill it out and put in the House and Grounds mailbox. Also you can volunteer on the upcoming workday, August 13th, to help keep the church in good repair. When you see these member say thank you for their service.

Dear EUBC Friends
Welcome new children:
Hollis Jarrett son of Jentri and Adam Nel-
son
William Kye and Joeigh Faye son and
daughter of Scott and Allison Shackelford
It's hard to believe summer is almost over
and school has started back!!!
Our preschooler's are geared up for a new
school year too. This month they will begin
by getting acquainted with their new
friends, learning simple rules and how very
special they are.
There is a lot of training that goes into the
life of each preschooler. Sometimes that
training can be interpreted from the child as
" I can never do anything right," or "their
picture is better than mine." It is important
that all children understand that God has
made them for a purpose and loves them
just as they are.
Bible Story: Children Come to Jesus
Memory Verse: Let the little children come
to me. - Mark 10:14
Please pray for our young families and chil-
dren!!!
Love In Christ,
Ms. Sandra
