Panel Meet on 14th Dec.2012 at Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana

The panel discussion was moderated by Archana - Tiwari - Nayudu, Executive Editor, SEARCH, Network 18 Publishing. The electrifying panel discussion was followed by an interactive question & answer session with the highly enthusiastic audience. The success of this event can be clearly gauged from the fact that more than 200 people attended and also became a part of this lively panel discussion as an involved participant. The interesting part of the entire show was inviting all top delegates and seeing the level of excitement in each member for visiting the exhibition made our purpose fulfill. This panel discussion was a prelude to the largest SME gathering in the country, Engineering Expo Ludhiana and PUMTOS. Organised by Network 18 Group, this Expo was held in Ludhiana from 21st - 24th December at GLADA Ground.

The maiden edition of Engineering Expo Ludhiana and its concurrent event PUMTOS (Punjab Machine Tools Show) opened to tremendous industry response and stood tall with potential on the very first day. Positioned to add positivities to the manufacturing and machine tools industry in and around Ludhiana, it saw the business deal worth Rs. 10 crores in the first few hours of the trade exposition and order book outlook looking potent with big business deals for the exhibitors, thus benchmarking itself with the best in class trade shows.

Amidst the razzmatazz complete with the police band playing, the positivity and excitement was eminent and infectious. Marking a new beginning for the machine tool industry in the region, the Expo generated a grand response from the industry, with distinguished industry players showed enormous enthusiasm in promoting the Expo as a potent platform for business in the region. Mayor of Ludhiana Shri Harcharan Singh Golwaria, took personal interest in every stall and paid visit to our stall as well. He was quite inquisitive to see Galvano make Eco-Ducts and was quite impressed with the product and its fabricated product.

Got the right look and feel. Our stand was our shop window — a direct invitation to say Come on in! . It was vital to make sure our objective for the show- selling, marketing or corporate image —determining the look and feel of our stand. We Chose signage, posters and products to display to boost the image we wanted to create. Our team members were rightly selected for the event and the audience. Many exhibitors use the "hook" candidate (someone who attracts people to the stand), or the "spotter" (who approaches people and brings them onto the exhibition stand). We had neither, but made sure that our team remained active and friendly. There was a great rush in the exhibition grounds, especially because Exhibitions are a very important source of information and education for the masses. We provided the same.

Exhibiting is about having great ambitions, not huge budgets. Its about using platform to reach any point of growth. Branding platform is perhaps most versatile and creative for it can expand and flow like amoeba and acquire attention accordingly. Organizers of this exhibition attracted many professional from diversified business zones. Mr. Manoj Kumar, Director of Apex Group, Gurgaon was one among them. His company is into auctions of New and Old Machineries from around the world.

Visits of senior officials adds right proportion of zeal and encouragement to the attendee staffers. Mr. Sanjay Sahni, Chief Sales Manager – North, TATA Steel, Mr. V. R. Swaminathan, Sr. Sales Manager – North, TATA Steel, Mr. Deepak Sharma , Marketing Cordinator. TATA Steel visited the stall and Mr. Hemant Mangla accompanied them and handed over great sense of promising prospect.

A far-reaching aroma of smiles and a lifetime's worth of a rapport, laying the foundation for the positive and profitable relationship.

Team TATA Steel and MANGLA Sons.

Dense fog and cold waves enveloped Sunday morning which was heavily awaited by all exhibitioners for having huge footfall. Climate conditions almost hampered the expectations but it got defied as record visitors visited on that very same day and around 11500 people came on that single day alone to visit the fair . Lots of people were curious to understand the word and Product Galvano and a good number of people were gifted with Galvano New Year Calendar as a token of appreciation for their visit.

Trade shows are unlike other sales environments. Limited time and attention of attendees requires quick qualifying, and lead generating tactics. Good trade show organizers will want our business to have success and come back next year and so does we need a good reason for the same too as well. Besides it was the moment to check in with our team throughout the trade show to assess performance, to reward the positive behaviours and to stop negative trends before they get out of hand and how well they answer the technical questions.
