HOW DOES IT WORK?

• e-SENS consolidates, extends and improves objectives developed by other LSP projects: STORK, SPOCS, e-CODEX, epSOS and PEPPOL

• There are ICT based modules being developed for electronic communication: e-Documents, e-Delivery, e-ID, e-Signature and Semantics

• Those solutions are to be implemented on national level and tested in real-life situations

• Generic solutions will be portable and reusable by all Member States in different areas of public administration

• The vision of e-SENS is to establish a common cross border digital infrastructure with wide-ranging usability.

WHAT IS e-SENS?e-SENS (Electronic Simple European Networked Services) is new EU funded project, that aims to develop an interoperability layer for public services in Europe. It supports the creation of a Digital Single Market by facilitating electronic communication with administration bodies.

The project is addressed to IT sector and administration of the Member States, as well as citizens and businesses. It simpli es provision of public services through implementation of digital solutions. e-SENS builds on already existing national systems and develops technical modules for seamless electronic interactions across borders.

WHAT IS THE ADDED VALUE?• e-SENS develops ICT based solutions for seamless public services

• It assures interoperability between different national systems

• Testing of e-SENS modules will guarantee maturity and reliability

• e-SENS meets the requirements of upcoming EU legislation on eID and trusted services

• Technical solutions will be reusable in a number of public services in different domains

• It will result in reducing red tape and digital burdens across Europe

• The project’s results will allow both money and time to be saved

THE WORLD IS CHANGING FAST! The mobility of business and citizens is in-creasing. As the world goes digital, it expects public administration in Europe to follow that trend, in order to reap even more bene- ts from the common single market. New approaches to service provision need to be adopted – more user-oriented, innovative and ef cient, ensuring savings in money and time, both for citizens and for government itself. At the same time, security must remain a top priority.
