Hook Act ivit y- Example Portfolios

- Students look at three different e-portfolios. Each portfolio should be at a varying degree of skill and aptitude in ease of navigation, organization, and aesthetics.

- As a class, students give constructive criticism about the three portfolios, including both positive and negative comments.

Process- Students receive a rubric clearly stating the standards and

expectations for their portfolios.- As a final example before creating their own e-portfolio,

students explore the teacher model. Click HERE to access this model.

- Students create their own e-portflio using Weebly.com.- The teacher should be present and available to answer

questions, give feedback, and offer personal opinions.

Ref lect ion

- Students are assigned two other student 's portfolios to review and give feedback on.

- Dance Party- In celebration of completing their portfolio and the academic school year

(this should be a final, culminating assignment to showcase all activities from the year), students participate in the improv game Dance Party.

- Students take turns leading the group in a dance.- One student volunteers to step outside while the other students choose the

leader. When the volunteer returns, they have three guesses to try and figure out who is leading the group.

Addit ional Help and Resources

While the pictures above can give you an idea of what to expect when navigating the Weebly website, it may also help to watch the screencast tutorial provided below!

My Exper ience w it h WeeblyI currently have two different websites that were created through Weebly. I love this resource and think it makes it incredibly easy to create a website! One of the two website I am using (which you can look at HERE) is a website I use for my students involved in my production of Annie Jr. Students who miss rehearsals can use the website to watch choreography or scene work so they can rehearse on their own and keep up with the rest of the group. Weebly has provided me with the ability to provide this for my students, and I love it!
