    Welcome

    WLBC Praying for

    BALINESE OF INDONESIA

    The Balinese people, numbering ap-

proximately 4 million, live primarily onthe island of Bali in Indonesia. Few places in the

world incorporate their religion into their everyday

lives as much as the Balinese. Religious activities

consume much of their time and money. They

make offerings every day to their ancestors, gods

(for protection) and demons (to appease them so

they will not cause trouble). Upon accepting Christ,

new believers usually face deep persecution in the

form of isolation from family and friends, loss of ajob and loss of property. The Bible is available in the

national language, but very few Balinese have ever

heard about Jesus. They live day to day in an endless

cycle of offerings and trying to earn merit to make

their way to a better life in their next incarnation.

Please pray for the salvation of the Balinese.

    Thank You ~ Thank You

    $685collected from WLBC!

Reflect Jesus in howyou respond to your

children. This is thebest investment you

    can make.In their eyes...the sun

rises and sets with you.You will be preparingtheir hearts to accept

    the love of Jesus.

Pray for the unreached people of India.

A new pastor was doing his rounds visitingthe homes of his parishioners. At one house

it was evident that someone was within butno one answered his repeated knocks.

Eventually he wrote on the back of a callingcard: Revelation 3:20 and stuck it to the

    door.

The following Sunday he was surprised tofind his card in the offering plate. Below his

    writing was scrawled: Genesis 3:10.

He reached for his Bible and thereafterbroke into gales of laughter.

Revelation 3:20 -Behold, I stand at thedoor and knock

    BIBLE QUIZ

    Numbers 22 contains a little-known

account of Balak, king of Moab, and

Balaam, a practitioner of divination.Feeling threatened by the Israelites

presence near his land, Balak sum-

mons Balaam to come and curse

them. What strange event does God

use to get Balaams attention so that

    he blesses, rather than curses,

    Israel?

    A. Balaks men turn into pillars of

    salt.

    B. The sun stands still in the sky.

    C. Balaams donkey speaks to him.

    D. An angel makes Balaam mute.
