Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of MSMEs through

Incubators

Objectives

• The main objective of the scheme is to promote & support untapped creativity of individual and to promote adoption of latest technologies in manufacturing as

well as knowledge based innovative MSMEs.

Salient Features

•The components under the scheme will include mentoring support in business

and technology, networking with other businesses, seed capital assistance, professional assistance to make the enterprise successful and achieve higher

growth. Technology based new enterprises are typically characterized as high risk

and high growth ventures, and as such, they require an enabling environment like BI to enhance the prospects of success.

Activity

• Recognition of eligible institutions as Host Institute (HI) to set up Business incubator (BI).

• Approval of Ideas of Incubatee of Host Institute.

• Financial assistance up to 15 Lakh for nurturing of an Idea to HI. • Financial assistance up to 1.00 Cr. as Capital Support to HI for Plant and

Machines.

• Financial assistance up to 1.00 Cr. as SEED capital Support to deserving idea. • Awareness and workshop programme.

Shri. Piyush Srivastava, Addl. Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME,

Govt. of India visited MSME Bhavan .During the meeting he conveyed valuable

suggestions in developing of MSME and increasing their credibility . All the

officers/ staff of MSME-DI and TC were participated in the event.

Meeting of members from Gold clusters under CDP was organized by MSME

Development Institute, Chennai, at the Conference Hall on 26.08.2019. Heads of

Offices/ senior officers from MSME Developm,ent Institute , and CDO were

participated and discussed about the implementation of CDP Schemes in Tamil

Nadu.

73RD Independence Day celebrations

Shri.KRK Prasad, Director ,Shri. S. Dharmaselvan, Director Incharge and Shri

Vijayakumar, Assistant Director Incharge,Br.MSME-DI,Coimbatore, hoisted the

national flag during the 73rd independence day celebrations at MSM-DI Chennai

and Br MSME-DI Coimbatore.

The Meeting on MSME support and outreach campaign in association with

Canara Bank was organised by Br.MSME-DI, Coimbatore, on 09.08.2019.

lecture on MSME Schemes and Entrepreneurial opportunities to the participants

of Instant Food Mixes training programme at AviniashilinganInstitue for home science and Higher education for Women, on 26.07.2019 and Shri. R.

Vijayakumar, Asst. Director In- Charge attended the Advisory Board Committee

meeting at SNS College of Technology, Coimbatore on 10.08.2019.

Shri. V. Parameswaran Asst. Director participated in Industry Awareness seminar was organized by BIS,Coimbatore at COINDIA for the Motor and Pump

manufacturers on 20.8.2019 and BIS Coimbatore organized a Jewelley Artisans

training Programme at Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore on 21.08.2019.

Chennai, is a network of O/o the development commissioner for the state of Tamil

Nadu under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The Organization was

set up on 6th June 1954. During the last six decades the Organization has

worked relentlessly towards converting the idle man power into resourceful

entrepreneurs. The MSME – Development Institute, Chennai and Branch MSME –

Development Institutes at Coimbatore and Tuticorin are providing a

comprehensive range of facilities and services such as techno-managerial

services, training needs, common facility workshop, laboratories, statistical and

economic information in the state of Tamil Nadu &Puducherry. MSME -

Development Institute, Chennai maintains close liaisons with State Government

Departments and other agencies involved in the promotional and development

activities of the State.
