Activities of the Month-June:

Some of the important activities happened in Narasaraopet in the month of June

are as follows:

Brief note of the Activities:

Special sanitation drive – “Parisudya pakshosavalu”:

Keeping in view of the importance and necessity of Sanitation and also as part of

Swachh Narasaraopet, Narasaraopet Municipality organized Special sanitation drive which

is planned for 15 days covering all the 34 wards.

Accordingly an action plan was prepared forming Sanitation workers, Municipal

employees into groups headed by respective ward councilors, Municipal commissioner,

Chairperson.

“Nava Nirmana Diksha” – June 2:

This day is treated as a dark day for Andhra Pradesh as the bifurcation of the

erstwhile united AP was done improperly. Regarding this, and as per the instructions of

Honorable CM Nava Nirmana Diksha is organized at Bhuvanachandra Town hall which

was inaugurated by Chairperson and all official heads of all the departments starting from

Municipal office.

Nava Nirmana Diksha was taken up for 7 days which included discussions on

various topics. Motive of the government is ‘people - first’ and wants to increase the

average annual income of each individual by the end of 2050.

“Maha sankalpam”- June 8:

“Maha sankalpam” marked the conclusion of Nava Nirmana Diksha being

organized from June 2.MLC Ramakrishna and department heads of all sections attended

the rally which was started from Municipal office.

Students of various schools and colleges attended the rally and also formed a human chain

before Municipal office and the rally

continued till Bhuvanachandra town hall

where an opening meeting was

organized.CM N.Chandra babu naidu’s live

speech was telecasted on big screens.

City initiative programme – “Happy Sunday”:

As part of city initiative programmes we are organising “Happy Sunday” on every

3rd Sunday of the month. Students from various Schools and Colleges of both Government

and private organizations actively participated in various cultural activities and games.

Honourable Chairperson, Commissioner and elected representatives too participated in all

the activities and encouraged the public and students.

Magic show conducted by Sk.Vali stood as special attraction for the event. Shuttle,

Tug of war, Badminton, Volleyball, Lemon and spoon, Snake game and some other games

were conducted.

Special visit by Honourable Speaker:

Some of the important works going on in Narasaraopet are development of

Hardscape and Landscape works at Burial grounds, Sri Kasu Brahmananda reddy park,

Construction of Railway underground Bridge(RUB) and some others. Honorable Speaker

of AP Dr.Kodela Siva Prasad rao garu visited all the above said sites and inspected the

stage of work .

Council Meeting (Urgent):

An urgent Council Meeting was held in the middle of the month with 33 agendas.

The meeting mainly focused on some of the current issues going on like installation of RO

Plant at Girls high school, allocation of site for construction of houses under Housing for

All scheme etc.,

Dial your Chairperson:

A programme called “DIAL YOUR CHAIRPERSON” will be conducted every

Thursday chaired by Respected Chairperson in his cabin and all the section heads attended

the programme. Some of the problems were raised by public callers, and respective

officials answered the call and promised to resolve the issue.

Ward visits:

Honorable Speaker of AP Dr.Kodela Siva Prasad rao garu,Municipal Chairperson,

Commissioner, Elected representatives of respective wards and other officials of all

sections visited some of the wards and listened to the problems of public and accordingly

steps were taken to resolve the issues and also as it is Ramadan season Speaker garu

distributed Ramadan Thofa to all the people of Muslim community.
