Hisother titles includeInverting the Pyramid, ahistory of football tacticsthat was named Football Book of the Year in2009, and Nobody Ever Says Thank You, abiography of Brian Clough. He also edits TheBlizzard, a quarterly journal of football writing thatgives its authors the freedom to write the footballstories that matter to them, be that at the highestlevel or the lowest, at home or abroad.

We also launch the latest issue of The Blizzardwith one of their legendary Q & A sessions.Jonathan, co-editor David Rose and otherjournalists will discuss all things football with theaudience, and offer their views on the afternoon’sgame between Swansea City and Arsenal.

Thursday 11 April, 7.30pm ROBERT MINHINNICK AND MIKE JENKINSThe evening’s politically charged readingsinclude a performance of ‘An Opera inBaghdad’, from Robert Minhinnick’s NewSelected Poems (Carcanet), featuring actressTracy Evans. It was written after Minhinnick’svisit to Iraq in 1997, and addresses the politicaland environmental destruction wrought by theongoing war in Iraq. In his latest collection, Barkin!, Mike Jenkinscaptures both the craziness and tragedy of hishome town.
