    culture in general.

    This concert is to officially launch Gaidhlig Dumgal, here are the aims

    of the group:

    Promote awareness of, and interest and involvement in, Gaelic language, literature, music and

    other aspects of Gaelic culture, throughout Dumfries & Galloway.

    Work in collaboration with other local and national organisations in the promotion and development

    of Gaelic language and culture.

    Promote the use of Gaelic language in everyday life.

    Provide support and encouragement to those interested in furthering their knowledge andunderstanding of Gaelic language and culture.

    Secure funding that will support the objectives listed above.

    Gaidhlig Dumgal was established with the assistance of Bord na Gaidhlig, who

    have awarded the group a grant. The grant money will be used to establish a

    website, and provide conversation classes. Details of these classes, along

    with Ulpan classes for beginners, will appear on the website and in the next e

    -letter. We aim to provide classes in all 4 districts of the region: Annandale

    & Eskdale, Nithsdale, Stewartry, and Wigtownhire.For those wanting more information about Ulpan please
