    Automatic Mains Failure controllers

    GC310

    GC310 is the new automatic control card aimed for the control of Automatic Mains Failure Generators operating in single stand-by and prime mover mode.

    GC310 includes the major measures like Mains and Generator Voltages, Generator currents and frequency, Battery voltmeter, Fuel level and so on. Engine and Generator protections are already embedded.

    The new range of GCXXX gen set controllers are able to measure the MAINS frequency and compute power and energy even when the load is connected to the MAINS.

    GC310 is able to manage the changeover switch between Mains and Generator and is enabled to control the generator circuit breaker. Here you are the most important features:

    GC350

    GC350 is the advanced model of control unit for Automatic Mains Failure Generators operating in single stand-by A single prime mover mode. GC350 control card, if compared with the simpler model GC310 controller, is equipped with an expansion I/O module which allows the use of this controller also for customized and non standard applications.

    Upon detection of a mains (utility) failure the module automatically starts the generating set. Once the mains power has been restored the module instructs the generating set to stop. The module also provides excellent engine monitoring and protection features. The module has the ability to monitor under speed, over speed, charge failure, emergency stop, low oil pressure, high engine temperature, fail to start, fail to stop, under/over generator volts, over current, under/over generator frequency, low/high DC battery volts, low fuel alarm and loss of the speed sensing signal.

    The module displays fault conditions on the Graphic display and via the LED indicators on the front of the panel. The module includes RS232 and an additional RS232 or RS485 in option suitable for linking to a PC, sending SMS messages and

    interfacing with new and existing building management systems.

    GC350 is able to manage the changeover switch between Mains and Generator and is enabled to control the generator circuit breaker.

    DST4601 is an Automatic Mains Failure Generator set controller which merges both LED and LCD displays, giving measures and allowing reading of standard panel meter devices due to plain text human interface. It's available CAN interface with J1939 protocol and MTU MDEC CAN interface. DST4601 includes the most important Measure, Engine and Generator protections. The device is designed and built for excellent measures performance. Both generator voltage and current measures are true RMS measures. Fast sampling rate alongside to special calculation algorithms yield good precision, linearity and immunity. Thanks its high configuration degree, DST4601 is a reliable controller suitable for standard and special applications assuring a quick and safe intervention by the generator in case of mains failure.

    GC500

    GC500 completes the new range of gen-sets controllers . This advanced and integrated controller is particularly aimed for groups of generator sets running in parallel with or without Mains.

    GC500 control card has been projected to allow an easy use and installation due to its internal Load Sharing (by means an additional CAN inter-face), Synchronizer (via CAN or via PWM output) and VAR regulation.

    GC500 control card is able to directly communicate via CAN interface J1939 with a wide range of engines (Volvo Penta, Scania, Perkins, MTU, Deutz, Cummins, John Deere, Caterpillar and others) and it can be used even with standard and traditional engines whose measurements are carried out by the embedded analogue Interfaces.

    DST4601PX is an automatic controller aimed in particular for PARALLEL APPLICATIONS and special executions. DST4601PX an advanced and integrated controller able to protect and control groups of gen sets running in parallel with or without mains. Moreover, thanks to its high configuration degree, it can be used for controlling gen sets running in parallel with the mains and for cogeneration power plants. DST4601PX is equipped with an internal load sharing and it allows the parallel up to 24 generator sets. Synchronization, VAR regulation and some advanced parallel protections are accomplished by a companion device called DICHRON module. DST4601/PX is a full featured device; it integrates on the standard version almost all the required functionality: generator protections, engine protections and monitoring, fuel pump management, real time clock, serial communication and direct PSTN and GSM modem managing capability. DST4601PX is equipped with a graphic display having the following dimensions: 125 x 72mm. A series of optional devices can be connected to the DST4601/PX control card. In particular:

    EM1100

    EM1100 is a control device for manual operated gensets that adds features to the normal engine protection functions: electrical measures (active power included) and generator protections. Moreover, engine instruments, counters and the built in horn make easy to assembly complete and compact manual panels achieving great benefit in term of cost, flexibility and features. Cranking is directly driven by means the quality integrated key-starter. The board, in addition to the measures display, monitors the engine function and the correct status of the generator. In case of failure, it shuts down the genset. Plain text message are displayed to let the operator identify the alarm type. Parameter changing are guided by means of plain text menu.

  • Modem GSM The GSM kit allows to control and manage the Gen Set everywhere you are, even if you are far from your office. Thanks to the GSM Kit, its possible carry out the connection removing expensive subscriptions. Thought SMS the user can receive information about the Gen set status and measures and there is the possibility of changing the parameters sending a SMS to the plant.

    MODBUS TCP/RTU GATEWAY makes easy to connect one or more MODBUS RTU devices to an ETHERNET network. The gateway can manage up to 32 RTU server (slave) devices. Different kind of RTU devices can be freely mixed on the gateway output line. Concurrent TCP sockets and concurrent MODBUS transaction for each TCP socket are supported, allowing communication to RTU devices at the same time from different point in the network and from different applications.

    DITEL is a modular input/output expander system using a MODBUS RTU interface protocol over RS485 physical interface. Each system is made up of one 16 INPUT module and (optionally) one or two 8 OUPTUT modules, for a total of 16 inputs and 16 outputs. They can directly connected to our DST4601 (one for each control card) and DST4601/PX (up to two for each control card).

    The REFILLING PUMP KIT controls the fuel refilling pump and detects the fuel tank levels. The device is simply compatible with other and eventual existent circuits.

    RS232/485 CONVERTER This converter is customized to convert data from RS232 to RS485 allowing in that way the connection of remote supervision software and to transmit data to a distance more than 10mt far from the local control panel.

    ROUTER GSM Its an electronic device born to offer a customized remote control of the plant. The Router GSM allows the control from a remote point of a power plant comprising many generators operating in parallel. In particular, its enabled the supervision by means a modem GSM, a Modbus TCPRTU gateway or moreover using any internet point.

    Supervision software

    SicesSupervisor is an application developed on PCs in a Windows environment for the supervision of generator sets controlled by SICES s.r.l. control units. This application is designed to provide customers with an user-friendly supervision system, which allows them to monitor plant parameters and measurements.

    It can manage all the plants using SICES controllers: These are single generator sets or multiple parallel sets, emergency plants, power supply plants or plants operating in parallel to the electric mains. This application has an high configuration degree that allows to the user a simultaneously management of many plants in the meanwhile. Measurements and parameters are acquired and stored with procedures that can be programmed by the user (the default configurations are already excellent). These data can be stored in standard formats to allow the user to file and process them easily even outside the application. SIcesSupervisor is available in 6 language

    Any of the communication devices on the PC can be used to communicate with the boards: RS-232 ports, Ethernet network, analogue modems, ISDN, GSM, etc. This is possible thanks to the fact that SicesSupervisor uses the operating system supports to manage communication.
