Drawing Lines in the Darkby Owen Johnston

Walking alone at nightWith only lonely streetsTo keep me companyAs the moon lights my path.
Who can sayWhat secrets layAround the corner orUndiscovered byHuman thought?
What lines do I read between? What is there already -Hidden in plain sight?
Inconspicuous -But NotInvisible.
Omote and Ura of Kata -The outer shapeAnd inner meanings.
The lines and shapeOf the formOnce practiced -No longer static butNatural motionsOf the bodyMoving on its own,Flowing without thought.
The full moonIs reflected byThe puddle of waterNear the curb.
I see only an outer shape -Yet the water yields to the touchAnd I cannot grasp or holdIts form which flows -Taking the shape of its container.
