    As president of ASTHO I have pchallenged state health leaders to study the data, assess their state, and consider adopting at least one policy strategy this year that could lessen the burden of

    t bl i j d d th i preventable injury and death in their home state.

    ASTHO is partnering with the CDC/NCIPC, STIPDA and others to create a nationwide initiative. A special focus area is on evidence based interventions pertaining to injuries and death due to motor vehicle crashes. ASTHO urges the states to focus on interventions pertaining to motor vehicle crashes if it makes pertaining to motor vehicle crashes if it makes sense for their state.
