DOWNTOWN DE PERE MURAL PROJECT

Definitely De Pere is launching a new project to bring downtown De Pere its first set of murals. The organization is seeking requests for proposals for murals to be completed at eight locations. Definitely De Pere is dedicated to revitalizing downtown De Pere by creating art throughout the district and to making art central to the daily life of the community. Murals can be painted or 3D art installations, vintage or contemporary, and should reflect the people, culture and spirit of downtown De Pere. The selected murals will serve as a community celebration for years to come.

Project Description Definitely De Pere will commission qualified artists or teams of artists to design and install work that local residents can enjoy and murals that attract visitors. The goal of the Downtown De Pere Mural Project is to create public art that conveys a piece of the story of De Pere’s history while reflecting a connection to the current vibe of the city or a vision for the future. The piece should represent the values and traditions of the community; it should celebrate the history while pointing to aspirations and integrating modern art.
