What do Shore Excursions include?Shore Excursions include transportation according to the itinerary, meals, refreshments, guides, and entrance fees as indicated. Fares for Shore Excursions are subject to change without notice. All prices quoted are based on tariffs and exchange rates current at the time of printing, and are subject to increase with or without previous notice consequent upon any increase in the basic tariff and/or exchange fluctuations, which may accrue before commencement of the tours.

Timings have been established according to information received from the local tour operator(s) but are subject to alterations should the vessels arrival time at the port be delayed or circumstances arise whereby the itinerary for a particular excursion must, necessarily, be amended. Guests should be mindful of the fact that at ports where the ship lies at anchor, the afternoon excursions commence from the dockside, not the ship. Guests should, therefore, allow at least 30 minutes for the tender ride to shore. When booking more than one tour in a day, please allow at least 60 minutes between the return of the first tour and the departure of the second tour.Tour departure times may vary from those listed on the order form, especially in ports where the ship must tender guests ashore. Please check your tour tickets for the time and location of departure. No announcements for the tours will be made on board the ship.

Is it possible to miss the Ship? All guests are required to be back aboard ship no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time, which is listed in the Cruise Compass and posted at the gangway. The scheduling of all Shore Excursions conforms to this requirement. If you leave a tour en route; however, it will be your responsibility to secure transportation and return to the pier on time. If for any reason a ship's excursion is delayed, the ship will be notified and await the tour's return.

What type of transportation is used for Shore Excursions?Standards of transport vary considerably; however, Shore Excursions utilize the best quality transportation possible in each port. Please bear in mind that cars, taxis or mini-buses may also be used in some ports where coaches are not available or are limited. Air-conditioned vehicles are not always available nor do all tour buses have restroom facilities on board. Please note that some countries have local restrictions and/or zoning laws that prohibit the use of the on board facilities and prohibit the idling of engines while parked at the various venues. The air-conditioning systems may not be to North American standards.

What if I wish to take the same coach as my family or friends?Guests wishing to travel with friends should proceed to the point of departure as indicated on your shore excursion tickets, as this will help the tour staff to allocate space in the same vehicle.

What if I wish to tour on my own?Guests who do not join these prearranged shore excursions must, therefore, rely on whatever transportation equipment might be available, and they are advised that the drivers are not under supervision. Such drivers may not be informed of the sailing hour of the ship and it is not certain that they will follow routes that are more desirable. In addition, considering the limited transportation facilities in some ports, relief cars may not be obtainable in case of breakdowns along the road. Tours are the best way of seeing the country during a stay at a cruise port of call and they have been arranged so the guests see as much of interest as possible.

Refunds for independent tour arrangements will not be provided in the event of cancelled/missed ports.

Will transportation be available from the ship to the city centres? Many ports are not located in the city centre. For the convenience of guests, a charged shuttle bus service or city transfer service has been arranged in those ports (where applicable) that are located approximately 1 mile or more away from the closest city centre and do not have adequate local transportation available. This service is set up to complement local transportation, and guests are welcome to utilize local services, when and where available. Details of which port will operate a charged shuttle service will be announced onboard the ship. Tickets will be available for sale only onboard.

How should I tip our Guide/Driver?Extending a gratuity to your guide or driver is strictly optional; however, in some countries, these personnel may anticipate that if you are pleased with their services, you will reward them in a monetary way. A commonly accepted guideline is GBP 2.00 per person for a half-day tour and GBP 4.00 per person for a full-day tour.

How can I find out more about the ports we'll be visiting?During your cruise, informative Port Explorer videos will be shown on a selected television channel in your stateroom. A Port Explorer pamphlet with general information and a city map highlighting Places of Interest will also be delivered to your cabin. For additional independent information, please consult the onboard Discover Shopping Guide.

Will I miss meals when I go ashore? Most tour departure times complement the ships meal service hours, so you can enjoy your meal aboard and then go ashore. However, if you take more than one tour in a day, your return on board may not coincide with meal hours. You will be informed of meal times before arrival in each port. Full day tours include meals where indicated.

What should I wear? Some countries may have more conservative ideas about dress than you are accustomed. So as not to offend local opinion, it is suggested that you dress conservatively. We suggest when visiting places of worship (temples, mosques, etc.), you should avoid wearing shorts, tank tops or revealing clothing. Guests should wear comfortable walking shoes at all times. When visiting ruins or walking on cobblestone streets, wear rubber-soled shoes. It is also smart to wear a sun hat, protective sunscreen, and sunglasses.

Will I have time to shop?Whenever possible, shopping time has been allocated within the framework of the excursions. However, tours are not designed for shopping, and time is limited.

How do I pay for Shore Excursions on board? The only way to pay for Shore Excursions on board is through your shipboard credit system for which you sign up after boarding the ship.*Children's tickets are available on some tours for guests aged 4 years to 12 years (inclusive). Infants, 3 years and younger, will be carried free of charge, subject to them not occupying a seat on the vehicle. On certain excursions, child fares are only applicable to children up to a certain age. Guests aged 13 and over will be charged the adult price. A parent or guardian must accompany guests under 18 years of age.

Prices included herein are subject to change at any time and may vary by sailing. We suggest booking your excursions at www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreandlandexcursions for current prices.

How strenuous are the Shore Excursions in each port of call? Most of the cities you will be visiting during your cruise vacation were built without regard for the modern conveniences and freedoms we may take for granted today. They offer quaint, narrow, cobblestone streets, and large bustling walkways that have been in existence long before the advent of motorized transportation. To preserve their antiquity, many cities and old towns are pedestrian-only, and may not be conveniently accessible for guests with mobility impairments. All of the Shore Excursions require some degree of mild, moderate, or strenuous walking. Likewise, venues that have grand entryways, multiple stories, and sprawling gardens, make stair-climbing a necessity. To assist our guests, we have rated each Shore Excursion within this brochure by the amount of walking and stair climbing needed to fully participate in the excursion as indicated by the tour description. The Shore Excursions presented in this brochure require the guest to use a coach or other forms of transfer which will require them to step up 2 to 3 steps, approximately 10 inches high each. Most (but not all) coaches used can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs and will store them in the luggage compartment beneath the coach. However, it should be noted that escorts, drivers, guides, and shipboard staff are not obliged to lift guests into the vehicles. Lift-vans and/or coaches are not available in all ports of call. Tendering may preclude guests in wheelchairs from going ashore at certain ports of call. For further information, please check with the Shore Excursion Office on board immediately upon arrival.Due to the various celebrations taking place during the year, kindly note that certain circumstances may arise where the tour content or itinerary may have to be altered without prior notice. This is beyond the control of either the local tour operator or Royal Caribbean International.

GUIDE SERVICES AND TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT: In certain interesting but off the beaten track places, professional guides are at a premium. The best available and obtainable guides of competence are engaged. It is exceptional for drivers of public hire vehicles to speak any language but their own. Transportation equipment used for the shore excursions is the best available in the ports of call. In some ports, it is not possible to obtain buses or taxis equipped with air conditioning or bus or taxis with air conditioning that meets North American standards. When choosing a tour, please keep in mind that you are a visitor in a foreign country; some luxuries to which you are accustomed may not be available. To get the most out of your excursion, please notice, feel, experience, and enjoy the local cultures, conditions, and customs.

Part of the delight in travel is to have the chance to venture off the beaten path and gain a privileged insight into the cultural or natural environment of a destination. These privileged experiences must be handled with care. That is why you will see a special environmental notation in the Note section of each tour description or be given special words of advice from your local guides. By respecting the cultures, traditions and ecology of the places visited with ethically and environmentally responsive behaviour, we can help make our visits more rewarding for all concerned. With the popularity of some ports of call, the excursion itineraries and order of the actual tour may be changed at the discretion of the local operator, with or without notice, in order to give the best service possible under the prevailing local conditions. NIGHT EXCURSIONS vary throughout the world's cruise ports. Many hotels have international-type acts, others national dances or folklore shows. Some ports are renowned for nightlife while others are more conservative. We aim to take you to the most generally accepted shows, but do not expect to find Paris standards at every port of call. Check the charges before ordering extra refreshments, photographing, or recording. ENTRANCE FEES: Entrance fees to all museums and sites are included in the price of the respective shore excursions unless otherwise stated. Occasionally, a small extra charge is levied if photographs are taken, and this is not included. WITHDRAWAL OF TOURS: The right is reserved to withdraw any tour, to limit membership in any tour, or to make alterations in the operation of any tour, which may be deemed advisable for the safety or convenience of guests. Renowned to be the sunniest spot of the island, this holiday resort is a true paradise for sun worshippers.Puerto Rico also boasts a nice harbour and it is renowned as a sailing centre. Deep-sea fishing is also at its greatest here, proof of which are more than fifty world records claimed by fishermen setting out from this port.

Following the southwestern coast road, you will arrive at the picturesque fishermen village of Puerto de Mogan, also well-known as Little Venice, due to the channels and bridges you can find there (sea tongues of water get into the earth and creates these little channels). On Fridays, the weekly market of Mogan is held with more than 200 stands where you will find several and different items at nice prices. This town is filled with typical Canarian marine constructions and has one of the most beautiful marinas of clear water, surrounded with shops, boats and typical restaurants. on past Runnymede, scene of King John's signing of Magna Carta, is Eton College where many distinguished and eminent men have been educated.

From many miles distance the Castle can be seen rising above the River Thames and the charming town which surrounds it. Windsor Castle is probably the largest fortress of its kind in the world, and has belonged continuously to the sovereigns for over 900 years. The Castle dominates the town, standing on a chalk outcrop overlooking the river, and from whichever direction approached, it rises magical in outline above the surrounding countryside. Seen from a distance it is beautiful beyond imagination, for it is all perfectly in proportion and the delicate flying buttresses of St. George's Chapel give a graceful relief from the rugged solidity of the Round Tower and the Royal Apartments. Excellent views of Eton, Runnymede and the countryside can be obtained from the castle walls. Windsor Castle is still the setting for great ceremonies of state, and houses many of the priceless treasures in the Royal Collection.

After your guided tour of the Castle, you will have free time to browse the quaint Georgian shops along the town's High Street, which grew up around the Castle in the Middle Ages. Independent sightseeing will bring you face to face with houses and inns. The most prominent building on the High Street is the Guildhall completed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1689. Or, you may care to stroll down to one of Windsor's great attractions, the River Thames which is always lively with boats of all kinds, while the swans glide lazily up and down. Finally, you will then continue the short distance to Heathrow Airport for check-in.

Note: There is a moderate amount of walking to the various parts of Windsor Castle. Walking during the free time is at the guests' discretion. Windsor Castle can be closed at short notice due to official visits and/or functions. This is beyond the control of the local agent and Royal Caribbean International. You will see the most important landmarks in this remarkable volcanic landscape.

Note: This tour will not include any off-road driving; only on the main roads through the National Park. Guides will move between the vehicles to provide details. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes, hat and removable warm clothing such as a light jacket or sweater as the temperature at Las Canadas is much lower than at the coast. Participants should be aware that there are certain inherent risks involved in any four wheel-drive excursion. 4X4 vehicles will be waiting for you at shoreside. You will travel on paved roads (only) in vehicles in a rear 6-seater configuration. Each vehicle is equipped with seatbelts that should be worn. Guests must be at least 15 years of age to participate. Group will follow in caravan formation with the lead guide/vehicle in the front. All vehicles must remain together with the group. Tour participation is extremely limited. This tour and itinerary is dependent upon favorable weather conditions. Should the roads become impassable or snow covered, the tour may be cancelled at the last minute. This is beyond the control of the local agent or Royal Caribbean International. Visibility from all scenic outlooks is dependent upon the weather; and therefore, cannot be guaranteed. Due to the nature of this tour, it is not recommended for guests who are pregnant, suffer from hip, and back injuries, walking difficulties, suffering from heart diseases, high blood pressure or suffering from vertigo. It is forbidden to remove any stones or plants from the National Park.

TF26 - World Heritage & Wine LandPRICE: ADULT: 24.75 / CHILD: 13.50 GBPDURATION: 5 Hours Approx.

Leaving from the harbor you will take the motorway straight to La Laguna, located in the center of the Aguere Valley and just a few kilometers from the capital at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level. The UNESCO "Patrimonies of humanity" declared La Laguna City few years ago. Centuries ago, La Laguna was the capital of the island. Now it is the second most important town on the island. Its founders placed it under the protection of Saint Christopher from which it got its real name: San Cristobal de La Laguna. As a town, it developed in an orderly manner and, as a result, today its streets are straight, its squares large and its monuments proof of its former grandeur.

Upon arrival in La Laguna, you will walk to the Church of the Convent of "Santa Catalina," the popular market in the "Plaza del Cristo," the Cathedral (from outside), strolling along the "Calle de San Agustin" to see the facades of the Episcopal Palace and Lercaro Palace.

Return to the bus and continue to Tacoronte, the most important area of vineyards on the island where your next stop will be at the famous Bodega Alvaro where an aperitif with different types of wines will be served. The history of Viera and Clavijo pointed out that the first vines planted in the Canary Islands, in the year after the conquest, came from the eastern Mediterranean, especially the vines that produced the famous Malmsey, the most famous of the Canary Island wines and immortalized by Shakespeare in his works. Following your sampling, you will continue with a visit to the wine museum of "La Baranda" in El Sauzal where you will enjoy a nice view over the north coast from its terrace. After your visit to the wine museum, you will return by the motorway to the pier.

Note: Guests must be able to walk for approximately 2 hours over various surfaces with a few steps. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The Convent of Santa Catalina is closed on Sundays. The Wine Museum is closed on Mondays.

TF29 - TagananaPRICE: ADULT: 24.75 / CHILD: 13.50 GBPDURATION: 4 Hours 30 Minutes Approx.

Depart by bus to Taganana, passing the fishing village of San Andres and enjoying eye-popping views over Las Teresitas beach - a dazzling curve of white sands clasped between the Agana mountains and Atlantic. Continuing up a twisty mountain road, you'll travel through epic forests and peaks before dropping down to the hamlet of Taganana. With its sugar-cube houses speckling steep green slopes, this remote seaside village is one of Tenerife's oldest. Here, there's free time to stroll around the quaint streets.

We continue heading to Las Mercedes. The country roads lead you through the bowels of forests populated by species of the Tertiary Period, through the laurel and dodging deep ravines. Stop in "Pico del Ingles", with the best views of the north and south side of the island. Our last stop is La Laguna. The city was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999 and was the ancient capital of Tenerife. It is considered to be the cultural capital of Canaires. You will walk in the path of a sixteenth-century city. The configuration of the streets of the historic center of La Laguna, which was defined at that time, has hardly been modified since then. Buildings have been lost along the way, new ones have appeared and some have been remodeled, but the skeleton of the city, its streets and corners, remains. After this you will drive back to the port of Santa Cruz.

Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 1.6 kilometres (1.5 hours) over uneven surfaces, inclines and a few steps. Windjacket and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Your tour begins at the pier where you will board a coach and travel the Los Loros route towards Guimar. On the way you will pass through the beautiful Esperanza Forest with its stately pines. You will have an opportunity to make a short photo-stop at the panoramic setting of Mirador de la Cumbre.

Arriving at the Pyramids the first thing that will get your attention will be the setting and the scenery. In front of you is the deep Atlantic and surrounding you are majestic mountains. The first question asked might be; what are pyramids that resemble those in found in Mexico, and ancient Mesopotamia doing on a Spanish island off the north-west coast of Africa? And secondly, are they real?

The famous Norwegian anthropologist Thor Heyerdahl believed they were real as soon as he saw pictures. He had seen the exact same pyramids before in Peru! Heyerdahl, in an effort to prove his theory of an ancient seafaring people reaching all over the world, spent years studying these pyramids and comparing them to similar construction around the world. After all, long before the coming of the Spanish, despite being just off the coast of Africa, the Guanches, the original people of Tenerife, were blue-eyed and blonde.

You will certainly enjoy exploring the pyramids and the park's Casa Charcona Museum and you can form your own opinion as to their origin and authenticity. You will have the opportunity for refreshments and browsing the museum gift shop before returning to the ship.

Note: Guests will have approximately 2 hours to visit the park. Amount of walking over the various even surfaces with slight inclines and ramps is at the guests' discretion. In point of fact these gardens have become assort of "acclimatization" garden for many of these delicate species from others climates. Although many did not survive, there are still more than 4.000 species, some of them grown to incredible proportions, such as the massive "Coussapoa Dealbata" palm, or the "Palo Borracho" (Drunken Log), also from South America. The garden has a Canarian flora herbarium and develops different investigation programs.

Afterwards you continue to visit the garden of "Risco Bello," located in the heart of Taoro Park. There you will be invited to

TF47 - Cultural TenerifePRICE: ADULT: 21.75 / CHILD: 11.75 GBPDURATION: 4 Hours 30 Minutes Approx.

This excursion will show you the cultural heritage and the traditions of this wonderful island.

We will first visit La Laguna, declared a World Cultural and Heritage Site by Unesco in 1999. This monumental city comprises a historic group of buildings, which retain their original layout. The excellent state of conservation of the historical centre has not, however, stopped the city from adapting culturally to modern times. The streets of the centre of La Laguna are full of important monuments and historic buildings, despite the fact that they house an appealing commercial activity, in which small family businesses have managed to survive many years. At these shops the traveler may find typical craftwork, items of the latest fashion, island wines and a whole array of traditional gastronomical products.

Your trip takes us then to the island's capital. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a cosmopolitan, happy and bright city. It looks out onto the sea, is full of interesting sites and has a marked island character. The city is ideal for taking a stroll and relaxing along its avenues and pedestrian streets. Santa Cruz is above all a vibrant city, offering great cultural and leisure activities and a pedestrian shopping area.

The capital is also an exceptional example of how tradition and modernity can merge to create a clearly rich architectural mix, given that you may find very close to one another streets of a typical Canarian style, next to modern buildings.

The cultural and leisure potential of Santa Cruz is extremely varied. We will visit the Museum of Nature and Man, who seeks to serve the citizens of the island, and its many visitors, the full potential content, collections and expertise accumulated over decades of research and scientific work, providing a pleasant vision and insight into the natural resources of the Canary Islands and archaeological populations that once lived on. After the visit, return to the ship.

DURATION: 4 Hours 45 Minutes Approx.

The Agro de Bazan Winery produces quality wines with the Albarino Grape, an aromatic, long-standing grape native of the Salnes Valley. Weather conditions in the Rias Baixes (Lower Inlets) are generally cool, windy, and rainy. Notably, Albarino grapes develop thick skins, contributing to their intense aromas. Typically, wines made from Albarino grapes are very aromatic, often described as having scents of almonds or almond paste, apples, peaches, citrus, and flowers or grass.

The Gran Bazan Cellar is a result of a strong entrepreneurial project created to lead an elitist grape and wine-growing project in the smallholdings of Galicia years ago. These cellars have had an active and strong contribution to the most relevant agro-industrial revolution in the history of Galicia, taking the Rias Baixas wines to the top ranks, amongst the best wines in the world. This has been accomplished thanks to, amongst other factors, their team of technolgical-eonologists, the development of the cold maceration process, making two types of wines according to the process and quality selection, making the first Albarino wine matured in French oak barrels. The former, Pazo de BazAn, was an ancestral mansion built in the 17th Century; it is located on the green landscapes of the Rias Baixas, on the Ria de Arousa. The Gallegan Coast is dotted with leafy pine trees, beaches and numerous country houses.

The Parador is in the centre of the small village of Cambados, only a short distance from the Isla de la Toxa. The Parador was built by order of the local parish priest, Pedro BazAn Torres, a distant relative of Emilia Pardo BazAn, the Countess immortalized through her literary talents. Cambados has been declared a Historic-Artistic District, and is considered a Property of Cultural Interest. Once greeted at the Parador, you will have another wine tasting of local wines before free time (approximately 1 hour) is given prior to your return to Vigo.

Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 1.21 kilometres (roughly 1.5 hours) over even and cobblestone surfaces with some steps at the cellars. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Tour order may vary between groups to avoid congestion at the sites. The drive to/from the port is approximately 1 hour each way, dependent upon traffic conditions.
