Welcome to our 2016 Brochure. Here’s informationabout some of the things taking place at TheNightingale Centre in 2016 and how you can bookyour place. We’ve continued to improve the centreand we have more en-suites than ever. Own “ironage” round house is now completed and can be

used in combination with appropriate lesson plans. You can now hire bikes,or bring your own to take advantage of our secure accommodation andcleaning facilities.

If you want to organise your own event here please contact me and I willhelp you plan this. Whatever your interests - conferences, cycling, spiritualevents, holidays, walking, commercial, training, family get-togethers, school orcollege programmes, we believe we can usually provide what you need.

Meanwhile we believe our prices are very competitive, like for like. We’vea wide range of accommodation options so we’ve not quoted prices in thebrochure, but these are just a phone call away. Please give me a ring toask me about our range of prices or anything in the brochure.

I look forward to hearing from you,

FRIENDS OF HUCKLOW Our help in lots of different ways - telling people about the Centre, fundraising for the Centre, helping with some of the Centre “jobs”, recruiting more “ helping at Open Day, providing photos, contributing to Centre development plans, and/or making a regular financial contribution. Our “Friends” receive Newsletters on the Centre’s developments and many through their regular contributions earn entitlement to £5 off a chosen weekend/week stay each year. Over many years our have helped us to make ongoing improvements and ensure the Centre will still be here to serve future generations.

To become a “friend” or find out more please speak to Stella or any member of staff

Your own event

The Nightingale Centre is booked by a verywide range of organisations. But we do stillhave some weeks, weekends or mid-weeks free, especially, but not only, in winter months (whenthere is a discount!). And we sometimes havespace alongside other groups using the centre.Perhaps you have a family occasion to celebrate or your congregation wants tobook a holiday together. Perhaps the District needs to undertake a review, undertake training or hold an AGM away from base.

Perhaps the school for which you are a Governor is looking for a field studyvenue. Or perhaps a group of friends is looking for somewhere to stay in thislovely part of Derbyshire - a chance to visit to attractive towns, villages andstately homes or to take a walk or two in the local countryside.

All good reasons toGive Stella a ring (or email) and ask about Availability!

SOCIETY

A participative conference aiming to examine aspects of

Led by study leaders John Rowland and Tim Baker, the conference will be exploring different types of grief, whilst learning how bereavement affects both ourselves and others in many complex and different ways. This will be carried out in an open manner but in a safe, reflective and supportive space.

Non-members are very welcome
