ABOUT THE ARTIST

Don Ray Ramos is a visual artist/designer. He is a graduate from University of the Philippines Baguio with a degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts with a cum laude distinction. He has a great attention to details with a passion of keeping the quality of his visual designs as neat and nice as possible.

He—as an ever-developing artist—believes that there are lots of rooms for improvement. Along with his eagerness to improve is his real desire to be a great artist/designer and an inspiration to other individuals with artistic talents.

Back Design

The idea was to associate traditional art with graphic design.

This design imposes the visual artist’s flexibility in lay-outing. His lay-outing skill does not enclose in digital designing only. He can create traditional and digital art/design based on the concept of the lay-out.

02The objective of this output is to redesign a published book cover then make it more appealing for the target audience which are the young adults.

For this recreation, the artist chose the book “Noli Me Tangere” where the author exposes the abusive and cruel hierarchy that remains the subordinates to the ground.

The utilized dark and cool colors provoke sorrow and fear emotion that was expressed in the book.

The output’s concept was to showcase the greatness of our farmers; that they are worthy of praise and attention because they are the true heroes of the nation. These everyday heroes are the vital part of our economy since they harvest food for the country.

This output was an entry for a design contest namely “Tanduay Bottle Label Design Competition” centered on the theme “Tibay ng Bayani” that went on its way into the finals.

04This is a poster layout for a proposed business which was a class requirement.

The layout was presented to promote a business that offers artwork making. This output was part of the artist’s marketing campaign.

POSTERLAYOUT

The presented web banner is successfully published in an online portal of a news publication. This was an output for an internship.

06One of the artist’s advocacy was to raise awareness about the current situation of Filipino Farmers. Here are some of the infographics he created for his advocacy campaign.

Farming is noticeably a dying profession and this is a call for their serious survival. The main objective of the campaign is to seek help from the government and the citizens to give adequate support services for the farmers.

INFOGRAPHICS

"Malikhain" is an artist and a humanitarian at heart. This artist not only creates art but, through his mind full of ideas, he can also visualize and illustrate a better solution to any problems in the world. This character represents all artists whose motivation is to help make a brighter future for the people.

Creating art as a passion can help raise awareness of any issues and provide solutions to the problems by disseminating best ideas by means of visual art. Artistic freedom helps creativity become a source of power that can change the world for the better.
