Upgrading an existing Metal Forming Machine to accommodate new features that client required.
Requirement
The customer acquired a press that was feeding a mill continuous strip of metal that had different shapes of punches. The mill would form the channel and feed the continuous strip to the cutting section.

Siemens 317T CPU with Sinamics drives controller and Drives Technologies.

Application
Modernization of an existing plastic extrusion machine.
Requirement
One of the most critical requirements was a stable temperature control solution capable in a short time to maintain an operating temperature (400 degrees C) with a tolerance of +/- 0.2 degrees C for 29 heat and heat/cool zones.
Technology Used
High accuracy temperature controllers were implemented on a Fieldbus network communicating with the PLC system.
