About UsEstablished in 1973, Glenwood leads the state of Alabama in providing behavioral health care and educational services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and severe emotional disturbances. Our services are provided through a continuum of care with the highest respect for individuals and families served. In addition to direct care services, Glenwood provides consultation and training for mental health and educational professionals and promotes research in these specialized areas.

Outpatient Services at Glenwood is a comprehensive evaluation and treatment clinic for children, adolescents, and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other emotional and behavioral concerns (e.g., impulsivity, aggression, sadness, or anxiety). The clinic offers timely responses to individuals or families seeking assessment, therapy, education & support, and medication management from professionals specifically trained in the area of child & adolescent development and mental health.

It is our goal to provide assessment & treatment that is both individualized to the child or adolescent’s needs and supported by the current research in the field. We believe that this approach will help equip families with the tools and knowledge they need to best care and advocate for their child.
