Mina Gajic, PianoA versatile pianist, Mina Gajić started her music career and education in Yugoslavia. She has concertized in Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Montenegro, China, and in the United States. Recent solo appearances include the National Symphony Orchestra of Bolivia and the Symphony Orchestra Stanislav Binički, Serbia. She has performed recitals internationally as soloist and with violinist Zachary Carrettin, focusing on a diverse repertory spanning the centuries and various styles on historic period pianos in addition to modern concert instruments. Ms. Gajić has performed as soloist at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival, Prague Piano Festival and the Boulder Bach Festival, Colorado.

Her awards include first prize at the International Competition Cittá di Stresa, Italy; third prize at the Nikolai Rubinstein Competition in Paris; first prize at the Competition of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Republic Competition of Serbia for five consecutive years; first prize at the Stanković Competition in Belgrade with special distinction for collaborative artistry, as well as semi-finalist at the Shanghai International Piano Competition.

Mina Gajić records and performs on an immaculate Érard concert grand, built in Paris in the year 1895, (recently acquired in Amsterdam). Her historic piano is one of few instruments to have been preserved in such a state that nearly every part is original, including the strings in the low register. Mina has developed a reputation for coaxing special tonal colors, “making the piano sound as a bassoon, a guitar, drums”, in solo, concerto, and chamber music repertoire.

Zachary Carrettin, ViolinZachary Carrettin has performed as solo violinist, baroque violinist, electric violinist, violist, orchestral conductor, and choral conductor, in more than twenty-five countries on four continents, and has established a reputation for presenting dynamic and diverse programs which feature repertory from the seventeenth to the twenty-first centuries.

Carrettin has served as concertmaster of numerous baroque period instrument ensembles, including the U.S. premiere of Vivaldi’s recently rediscovered opera Motezuma, (Musica Angelica), the Grammy-nominated recording of Hasse’s Marc’ Antonio e Cleopatra, (Ars Lyrica), critically-acclaimed recording of baroque music from the New World, Villancicos e Cantidas, (El Mundo) and the video-documented tour of the California mission churches, Mission Road, with renowned choir, Chanticleer. He has conducted professional symphony orchestras in the United States, Germany, the Czech Republic, Romania, and the National Symphony Orchestras of Moldavia and Bolivia.

Carrettin has resurrected and recorded numerous eighteenth-century works in manuscript during several visits to archives in Bergamo, Milan and Venice, in collaboration with violinist Kenneth Goldsmith and pianist Jo Anne Ritacca. Additionally, he conducted the first recording of Bolivian composer Gustavo Navarre’s Sinfonía.

Zachary Carrettin is currently the Artistic Director of the Boulder Bach Festival, which is celebrating its 35th season this year.

Jennifer Ellis KampaniSoprano

GRAMMY nominated soprano Jennifer Ellis Kampani, who” offers a freshness of voice, fineness of timbre, and ease of production that place her in the front rank of early-music sopranos,” is one of the leading interpreters of the Baroque repertoire.

She has performed with the Richmond Symphony, Washington Bach Consort, Bach Choir of Bethlehem, and New York Collegium. She was also a featured artist in “Le Tournoi de Chauvency” a Medieval opera production which toured through Europe. Her international career has included appearances with the period instrument groups American Bach Soloists, Baroque Band, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Opera Lafayette, Apollo's Fire, Musica Angelica, Boston Camerata, Bach Sinfonia, Magnificat, and the Washington Catherdral Choral Society. Jennifer has been heard in many concert series and festivals including Le Flaneries Musicales de Reims in France, Aston Magna, Da Camera Society, Houston Early Music, Staunton Music Festival, Music Before 1800, Carmel Bach, and the Berkeley and Boston Early Music Festivals. Ms Kampani has recordedKingdoms of Castille (GRAMMY nomitation 2012), Salir el Amor del Mundo, and Passion and Lament for Dorian, Villancicos y Cantatas and The Essential Giuliani for Koch, the works of Chiara Cozzolani (Gramophone editors pick, August 2002) for Musica Omnia, and Carissimi Motets for Hungaroton. Born in San Francisco Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Guildhall School of Music in London.

Cobus Du Toit, FluteWith technical facility that makes everything look easy (Opus Colorado) and rich tone that is especially impressive (Herald Tribune), flutist Cobus du Toit is quickly establishing himself as one of the leading flutist of his generation. Havig won over a dozen competitions on two different continents, Cobus enjoys the variety that exists between chamber music, solo and orchestral playing. As the principal flute of the Boulder Chamber Orchestra for the last 5 seasons, Cobus has performed as a soloist with the orchestra numerous times and will once again dazzled the audiences in Boulder, Colorado with the Concerto for Flute and Orchestra by Carl Nielsen in early 2015. Solo performances from past seasons include the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, Boulder Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestra of South Africa.

Cobus has been a prize winner at the 1st UNISA Southern African National Competition for Woodwinds and Brass, the Byron Hester Competition, the Myrna Brown Competition and SAMRO International Scholarship Competition just to name a few. As an international soloist, Cobus has performed in Taiwan, Russia, Japan, South Africa, Germany, France and the USA. Cobus is currently the flute player of the Antero Winds, a Colorado based professional woodwind quintet that has been prizewinners at both the Plowman and Fischoff Chamber Music Competitions. Cobus can be heard on Gypsy Violin, recorded under the Salon Music label with Gina Beukes, violist of the London Symphony Orchestra, and also recently released an album with guitarist Patrick Sutton featuring the music of Piazzola, Takemitsu, Iznaola and Beaser.

Opus Two, Violin & PianoOpus Two has been internationally recognized for its “divine phrases, impelling rhythm, elastic ensemble and stunning sounds,” as well as its commitment to expanding the violin-piano duo repertoire. The award-winning duo, comprised of violinist William Terwilliger and pianist Andrew Cooperstock, has been hailed for its “unanimity of style and spirit, exemplary balance and close rapport.”

Opus Two first came to international attention as winners of the United States Information Agency’s Artistic Ambassador Auditions in 1993, leading to a 30-concert tour of Latin America and the Caribbean, that also featured numerous radio broadcasts and master classes. Further State Department associations have taken them to Japan, Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France, Switzerland, Peru, Ghana, and Australia, and they have held major residencies in China. The two are honorary faculty members at Guangxi Arts Institute, Nanning, China and have presented master classes widely, including at New York’s Juilliard School, Beijing’s Central Conservatory, Kiev’s Gliera Conservatory, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. At home, Opus Two has crisscrossed most of the 50 states and in New York has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, BargeMusic, Merkin Hall, and (le) Poisson Rouge.

Highlights of recent seasons include two twenty-city US tours sponsored by Allied Concerts across eleven states; a European tour, which featured the duo in recital and as concerto soloists in Nice, Monaco, Bern and Geneva, and as invited guests of the US Ambassadors to Switzerland and the United Nations. The Strad praised the ensemble’s debut performance at London’s St. John’s, Smith Square as “beautifully drawn, brilliantly coloured and intense,” remarking that “violinist William Terwilliger played with supreme tenderness and finely judged control and was partnered with assurance and sensitivity by Andrew Cooperstock.”

Gloriosa Trio“Driven by lush violin-and-cello unison melodies” and a timbre that is “fuller than the brain imagines three musicians can sound,” (Jon Sobel, BlogCritics) the Gloriosa Trio burst onto the music scene in January 2014 as brightly as the flame lily for which the group is named.

The trio's carefully-crafted thematic programs delivered in exuberant performance have appealed to diverse audiences around the country, with critics hailing the Gloriosa Trio’s debut concerts in Palm Beach and New York City as “…a special, aesthetic experience not to be ignored” (Allen Rosenberg, the Daily News) while marveling that “…the Gloriosa Trio played as if the musicians had been together for years.” (Jon Sobel, BlogCritics). All experienced chamber musicians with a passion for collaboration, pianist Yoonie Han, violinist Jennifer Carsillo, and cellist Kevin Bate looked to the beauty of nature to inspire them with a name for their group, finding in the Gloriosa lily a fitting symbol to describe their fervent desire to share the music they love.

Soheil Nasseri, PianoCalifornia-native Soheil Nasseri has been lauded by The New York Times as “consistently interesting… consistently thoughtful… Filled with character…” and by the Berliner Zeitung as “Fantastic! A real talent. [In Beethoven] We in the audience could not possibly have had more fun.” In addition to extensive critical acclaim for his playing, via television, radio and the internet he has been seen and heard by millions of people.

The New Yorker has noted that Mr. Nasseri is “one of New York’s most prolific recitalists.” Since 2001 he has performed 20 completely different solo recital programs in New York, all without repeating a single piece: at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, and at Merkin Concert Hall. These concerts included 27 premières of contemporary works in addition to 31 of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas, a part of Mr. Nasseri’s pledge to perform all of Beethoven’s works involving piano by the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth in 2020.

Mr. Nasseri made his European debut in 2004 at Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Sicily. Since then he has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world: in addition to frequent New York concerts, he has performed solo recitals or concerti at the Terrace Theater of the Kennedy Center in Washington, Berlin’s Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal, Berlin’s Konzerthaus, London’s Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre, Tokyo’s Musashino Center, Théâtre Fémina in Bordeaux, Florence’s Teatro Comunale, St. Petersburg’s Philharmonia, and Palermo’s Teatro Politeama, as well as concerts in Montreal (Canada), Dublin (Ireland), Bucharest (Romania), Tehran (Iran), and in thirteen States throughout the USA.

Chloé Trevor, ViolinSilver medalist of the 2008 Ima Hogg Competition, Chloé Trevor, is one of the rising stars on today’s international violin scene. Critics have acclaimed Chloé for her “dazzling technique”, “excellent musicianship”, “huge tone”, “poise and professional grace”, and “bold personality unafraid to exult in music and ability”. She has appeared as a soloist with many orchestras worldwide, including the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Latvian Chamber Orchestra, Slovak State Philharmonic, Plano Symphony and the Knoxville Symphony. She made her New York concerto debut in 2013 and Avery Fisher Hall debut in 2014.

Chloé was the Grand Prize winner at the 2006 Lynn Harrell Competition, the 2005 Lennox Competition, the 2003 Dallas Symphonic Festival Competition and the 2000 Collin County Young Artists Competition. She has been a featured violinist in the Music in the Mountains Festival in Colorado, at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas and with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra. At age thirteen she appeared on the nationally syndicated radio program From the Top.

Chloé's 2015-2016 engagements include performances with the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, the Lake Shore Symphony Orchestra, the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, and her first tour of Australia.
