General Information Relevant to All Courses:

What to prepare:

The courses will be very intense and tiring. It is recommended that delegates revise as much as possible beforehand to ensure maximum benefit from the courses. Prior knowledge will allow delegates to focus on important information provided during the lectures and demonstrations. All relevant handouts and course material will be distributed during the courses.

There are several presentations that we recommend delegates view before attending the course. In order to view the presentations online, please follow this link, enter your course registration number which was provided in the email issued following registration, and click 'validate':http://www.courses.doctorsacademy.org.uk/Number_Validation.aspx

Other pertinent information

Dress code:

There is no set dress code and delegates will be provided with aprons or overalls whilst using the dissection room.

Breaks for refreshments and lunch:

Each course will incorporate a 20-minute refreshment break during the morning and afternoon sessions, as well as a 45-50 minute lunch break. During the refreshment breaks, you will be provided with coffee/tea and biscuits. Upon registering for the course, you will have been asked to notify us of any specific dietary requirements or allergies. If you have advised us of any requirements or allergies, we will do our very best to cater to your individual needs. In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide appropriate catering, we will notify you in advance and provide an alternative.

Once again, let us take this opportunity to reiterate that all the four courses will be intense, focused and packed with information. The days will be very long and you will only get the chance to have some dinner, sleep, have breakfast and return the following day! This is of particular relevance if you are attending the full MRCS course (Wednesday to Sunday) that will cover all the 18 exam stations configuring the four broad content areas. Hence please ensure that you are sufficiently rested before the days and do not have any plans for extensive social evenings during the days of the course.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] if you have a query in the interim.

Best wishes,
