Dmitri Mendeleev discovered the Periodic Table in 1869 in Russia
Scientific Facts• He used the periodic table to predict
the existence of 8 new elements• He also predicted the properties the elements
would have• Wrote the names and atomic weight on cards and
kept moving them around until he found a pattern• He was the first modern scientist to correspond
with other scientist globally instead of purely working based off of his work
• The periodic table became the framework for the chemical theory
