July 1st “Read to Me” Summer Reading Program FREE! For children who are not yet able to read on their own (through age 5). Children will be given

a reading log at the beginning of the program. Parents, siblings, or others read to the child at least 10 minutes a day. Each week the child will receive a reward for his or her accomplishments. July 1st Summer Reading Club, “Paws to Read!” FREE! For children ages (6-12); teens (12-18); and adults (18 and older). Read one book a week to receive a weekly reward (while supplies last). July 2nd Youth Flag Football/Cheerleading Season Registration @ CYSS Registration Offices Army Hawaii Sports and Fitness Flag Football & Cheerleading Program registration is open to youth born form 1998 to 2009. Cost is $55 per person for Flag Football and $55 per person for Cheerleading or $20 per person for Cheerleading if you already have a uniform. Registration is from July 1st - July 31st. Season will run from October 25th - December 20st. If you register after the deadline, you MAY NOT receive your requested uniform size because the uniforms will have been ordered.

Transparent Language Online @ Army Hawaii Libraries Interested in learning a new language? Transparent Language Online is a comprehensive language-learning program that includes 48 languages and English as a second language. It is available to all registered MWR library patrons. It is accessible from the Byki Mobile apps for iPhone and Android devices. Set up a Transparent Language Account via the Army Hawaii Libraries’ webpac, http://dodhawaiilibraries.org, select “eResources” tab, and then “Transparent Language Online.”

Pacific Teen Panel @ AMR/ FT. Shafter Teen Centers Pacific Teen Panel is looking for interested teens that want to serve on the PTP (Pacific Teen Panel) for the AMR/Tripler/Ft. Shafter communities. Must be CYSS registered, in the 9 - 11th grade and participate in youth activities. PTP participants are advocates for their peers participating in monthly teleconference calls or video teleconference with other youth in the Pacific. Universal Class @ Army Hawaii Libraries Learn something new today! Universal Class offers over 500 online courses on a wide-range of subjects. If you fail to cancel your reservation and do not attend, you will be considered a no-show, which will result in you automatically being wait-listed for the next month’s events.
