THE SUPRO HUNTINGTON BASS is available in single, double and triple-pickup configurations with an optional piezo bridge and a variety of unique metallic and transparent colors over a choice of mahogany, swamp ash or alder tonewood for the body. The Huntington’s maple neck has a smooth, black satin finish and 30” short-scale length, with a glued-in, set-neck joint that provides ergonomic access to the entire rosewood fretboard. The set-neck design, premium woods and high-end hardware—along with the unique, vintage-correct Supro pickups—make the Huntington both a world-class recording bass and a gigging workhorse instrument that is incredibly easy to play, especially for musicians accustomed to the shorter neck of a 6-string guitar.

Although its scale is short, the sound of the Huntington bass is astoundingly large—boasting a tight, confident, buttery low end, articulate midrange and crisp highs.

2041 Huntington I The single-pickup Huntington I model projects a warm, balanced sound with a passive tone control that acts as an “old-school” knob, taming the highs and drawing the bass deeper back into the mix. A piezo-equipped bridge option, activated via toggle switch, enables acoustic bass sounds as well as enhanced attack for pick playing and slap. When the piezo pickups are activated, the tone knob allows the player to adjust the character of the piezo sound.

The dual-pickup Huntington II model adds a second magnetic pickup in the neck position for ultra-deep bass and huge reggae tones. The neck pickup is reverse-wound for complete hum rejection when both pickups are used together. The Huntington II features individual volume knobs for each pickup, with the piezo option activated by a push/pull switch on the tone knob. The Huntington II is also offered as a piezo-equipped fretless.

The three-pickup Huntington III model pulls out all the stops with a trio of full-sized Gold Foil pickups and a piezo bridge as stock hardware. The magnetic pickups in the Huntington III are wired with individual volume controls, allowing the player to dial in a tremendous range of tones, from vintage to modern and all points in between. A push/pull switch on the tone control activates the piezo pickups, which are located in the bridge saddles. With the piezo activated, the tone control functions as a blender for “acoustic” sounds or enhanced attack (especially effective for pick and slap techniques), unleashing an unprecedented range of sounds from this passive, short-scale bass.

Americana Series

The Americana Series guitars are replicas of the Supro “reso-glass” instruments, uniquely constructed with a chambered mahogany body and resonant molded top. This semi-hollow recipe retains the unique sonic characteristics of the vintage Supros while providing today’s musicians with a lightweight, highly playable instrument that stays in tune and is easy to maintain. The ten distinctive models in the Americana reissue series come loaded with authentic “Vistatone” pickups, which reproduce the groundbreaking, single-coil design developed by Valco in the early 1950s. These historic reissues are available in two body styles with a range of available hardware options, including piezo body sensors and a newly developed floating vibrato system.

dialed in and blended with the dry sound from the red channel. The variable send and return levels allow the effects loop to function as a level and/or gain boost when engaged, even when nothing is plugged into the loop. The effects loop can also act as a master volume for the blue channel when bedroom levels are desired. As a final touch, both the effects loop and the reverb on the Statesman feature a relay-controlled “spill-over” effect, allowing reverb and delay trails to decay naturally when switching between channels.

The Statesman’s blue channel contains the high-gain preamp, 2-band EQ and all-tube reverb section of our acclaimed Comet model. The Statesman provides A/B/Both channel switching operation, allowing the two channels to be run in parallel, creating a massive, dual-preamp sound where each channel contributes part of the overall texture.

In addition to the tube-driven spring reverb, the Statesman’s blue channel contains an all-tube, switchable effects loop that provides a set of useful functions—including wet-only reverb effects, which can be independently

Black Magick is a recreation of one of rock & roll’s holy grail amplifiers. This all-tube, high-gain blues machine hearkens back to the dimensions, cosmetics and circuitry of the Supro amps from 1959, just like the one loaned by Jimmy Page to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. In tribute to this legendary and extensively modified Supro combo, we’ve used the cabinet dimensions from a ‘59 Supro 2×10 and replaced the baffle with a 1×12 and armed this 25-watt combo with a custom British-voiced speaker that was specially developed for the Black Magick amp.

With more gain on tap than any other Supro reissue, Black Magick absolutely rips for heavy blues and classic rock guitar styles. This amp’s traditional, cathode-biased “Class-A” power section uses 6973 tubes to achieve

the instantly recognizable midrange grind and phenomenal touch dynamics that define the Supro sound.

Black Magickyour instrument. The signature Supro power-tube tremolo adds footswitchable depth and dimension to this historic rock & roll machine.

The preamp found in the Black Magick features two channels wired in parallel, with independent volume controls and a single, shared tone control. The vintage-correct front-end topology of the original 1959 Supro combos has been streamlined in the Black Magick, with automatic linking of channels 1 and 2 when using only the first input jack. This flexible arrangement provides double the gain when usedwith one instrument—and also allows for two instruments to share the same Black Magick, or for the use of an A/B/Y box to achieve channel-switching on the fly.

The Supro 1610 Comet is a high-gain, low-wattage 1x10 combowith reverb, tremolo and switchable power. Designed to act as ago-anywhere companion to your favorite guitars, this lightweighttube amp cranks out 6 watts or 14 watts of screaming-hot vintagetone with an on-board option to drench your sound in tube-drivenreverb and tremolo. The Comet is your desert island tube amplifier.

The preamp found in the Comet delivers warm, blooming cleantones up until 12 o’clock on the volume knob. Past noon, the Comet’s voice rolls over into Supro crunch, giving way to a singing, violin-like overdrive at full volume. The Comet is remarkably high-gain for a vintage-flavored amp, and it nails that sweet-spot without being too loud for comfort.

A matching 1700 BD12-loaded 1×12 extension cabinet canalso be hooked up to the Comet, bringing the overall speakerimpedance load down to 4 ohms to deliver maximum punchand additional stage volume for gigs. The 1606 Super is a reissue of the iconic 1x8 combo amp made by Supro in the early 60s. With a single volume knob—and nothing else—the Super lets you hear the full tonal range of the tube preamp found in vintage Supro amps. The no-frills, high-gain preamp feeds directly into a Class A, 6V6-equipped, single-ended, 5-Watt power amp. To capture the sound of the vintage Jensen speaker found in early-1960s Supros, the Super and Reverb amps feature a custom-made 8” speaker designed by Eminence and Supro USA. With help from Iowa State University, we were able to laser scan and recreate the cone from a “golden sample” vintage Jensen.

The 1605R Reverb is a 5-Watt, Class A, 1x8 combo amp with tube-driven spring reverb. This ultra-compact, gig-ready amplifier provides independent gain and master controls, along with a 2-band EQ and three tube-driven line outputs, optimized for feeding another amp or recording console. The outputs are driven by the preamp tubes—before the master volume—allowing you to tame the on-board speaker from gig to bedroom levels. The WET output can send the reverb to another amp while the gain from the tube preamp is heard via the onboard 8” speaker. The DRY output can send the gained-up dry sound to another amp, while the reverb comes out of the onboard speaker.

Gold Foil PickupThe Supro Gold Foil pickup is a faithful reproduction of the original “Clear-Tone” units found in the Chicago-made Supro guitars and basses from the early 60s. These high-output single-coil pickups use a unique “Field Coil” design (no pole pieces) to provide a clear, broadband tone that is suitable for both guitar and bass. Found in our Westbury and Jamesport guitar models as well as the Huntington bass, the full-size Supro Gold Foil pickups contain authentic vintage-coil construction, housed in a standard humbucker case. The bridge pickup is over-wound for extra output and the neck pickup is reverse-wound for hum-canceling operation when combined with the bridge unit. Like all Supro single-coil designs, the entire baseplate and cover of the pickup is magnetized, providing ultra-low-noise performance from a single-coil pickup.

USA Vistatone PickupThe Supro Vistatone pickup is a faithful reproduction of the groundbreaking single-coil design developed for Valco by Ralph Keller in the early 1950s, and made famous by musicians such as Link Wray, David Bowie, Robert Smith, Dan Auerbach and Jack White. The Vistatone pickup is cited as “prior art” by Seth Lover in his famous patent for the Gibson “PAF” Humbucker. The Vistatone pickup has a huge fat tone that works exceptionally well with fuzz pedals and overdriven tube amps. The bridge pickup is wound slightly hotter than the neck pickup, which is reverse-wound for hum-canceling operation when combined with the bridge unit.

USA Super Alnico PickupThe Supro Super Alnico pickup is a faithful reproduction of the high-output single-coil pickup found in bridge position of the top-of-the-line vintage Supro guitars such as the Rhythm Master, Silverwood and Coronado archtop. Developed in the late 1950s as an answer to Gibson’s P90 pickup, the Super Alnico has one hugely overwound coil that gives it a focused midrange bite and the top-end clarity of a single-coil pickup. The original Super Alnico pickups were too big to fit in most guitars—the new Supro Super Alnico pickups still contain the same vintage-spec magnet and coil wiring, but fit into a standard humbucker-sized enclosure.

Mini Gold Foil PickupSupro Mini Gold Foil pickups feature the same coil and internal magnet structure as our full-size Gold Foils, packed into a mini-humbucker-sized enclosure. Slightly brighter and more jangly than the original “Clear-Tone” pickups, these high-output single-coils are featured in our top-of-the-line, Supro Hampton solid-body guitar. The bridge pickup is over-wound for extra output and the middle pickup is reverse-wound for hum-canceling operation when combined with either the neck or bridge units. Like all Supro single-coil designs, the entire baseplate and cover of the pickup is magnetized, providing ultra-low-noise performance from a single-coil pickup.

USA Memphis PickupThe Supro Memphis pickup is a faithful reproduction of the hum-cancelling pickup found in the iconic National New Yorker archtop guitar played by trailblazing Tennessee Blues guitarist Memphis Minnie. The unique tone of this pickup is achieved by splitting the pole pieces into two separate coils and winding with opposite polarity and phase to achieve humbucking (noiseless) performance with a single-coil sound. With a full, wide-open sound that works equally well in archtop, semi-hollow and solid-body guitars, the Supro Memphis is the ultimate pickup for vintage blues and jazz tones.
