BRIEF OVERVIEW FUNCTIONS & PROGRAMMES

The Groomster has 5 iontophoresis programmes, 2 programmes for the face and 3 programmes for the body: FACE CLEAN, FACE CARE, BODY CLEAN, BODY NUTRI and BODY CARE. In all programmes you can choose between 3 intensity levels.

Carry out applications with the BYAS Groomster only with the special BYAS Ionto-Sonic care products.

1. Display of programmes

1 active mini LED: “Low”. 2 active mini LEDs: “Medium”. 3 active mini LEDs: “High”.

On/Off, select, start, pause and continue iontophoresis programmes.

5. Display of programme duration

Light bars around the multi-function button indicate the duration of each programme. One active bar corresponds to one minute of application time:

After each minute, one bar turns off automatically and a short acoustic signal sounds. At end of each programme, three short acoustic signal sound.

6. Treatment head

Sonic Micro Circulations are transferred to the skin through flexible fibres made of medical-grade silicone.

7. Conductive fibres

The iontophoresis technology is transferred to the skin through special conductive fibres that are made of the innovative Ionto-FLEX material. The (black) conductive fibres act as a flexible treatment electrode. Together with the hand electrode that is integrated in the back shell, they ensure the current flow through the body that is required for the iontophoresis.

8. Hand electrode

Conductive metal stripe that is integrated in the back shell.

9. Stand-by indicator

If a programme is interrupted, the device switches to stand-by mode. The activation is displayed by 3 mini LEDs blinking continuously from left to right. After the programme is re-started, the intensity LEDs show the originally set intensity again.

10. Display of battery status

The battery status is displayed by the mini LED that is located in the middle of the large multi-functional button.

11. Mini USB slot

The Groomster´s battery can be recharged via the USB cable that is supplied as part of the technical accessories. Either the cable is connected to a computer to recharge or it is connected with the power adapter that is also supplied with the device.

The Groomster can be also recharged by means of the in-built connectors and a special charging stand that is not supplied with the device.

YOU CARRY OUT A TREATMENT WITH THE BYAS GROOMSTER

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Always treat one half of your face first and then the second half. Carry out treatments as follows: Place the bristles of the Groomster on the area of the skin to be treated and move the Groomster with slow, stroking movements, from the middle of the face outwards.

Ensure there is always a sufficient amount of the treatment product under the conductive bristles (= flexible treatment electrode) of the Groomster. If necessary, increase the amount used.

If your skin is very sensitive, you should limit the recommended treatment intensity frequency. Use the "medium" intensity level as the maximal setting for the treatments of your skin during the first few weeks.

If your skin reacts to treatments, seek medical advice as a precaution.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

The bristle head and the device´s shell can resist water splashes. Both, the bristle head and the device´s shell,can be directly put under running tap water and cleaned.

However: There´s no protection against complete water submersion, i.e. the device cannot be used during a shower or under water in the bath tube, neither of the bristle head nor of the whole device.

The BYAS Groomster is the first professional Home beauty device using “Ionto-Sonic Face Care Technology”. The transfer of this specialized technology onto the skin is made possible by a break-through innovation.

Flexible and conductive fibres made for the first time of “Ionto-FLEX” material allow a 2-step cleansing and detoxification regimen can be carried out in parallel.

STEP 1The skin is deep-cleansed and detoxified. Pollutants and metabolic waste products bound to the positively charged water molecules in the deeper skin layers are drawn to the surface by means of negative iontophoresis.

1. Slightly moisten your face with lukewarm water at first.

2. Afterwards, apply 2-4 dispenser strokes of the IONTO-SONIC DEEP CLEAN & DETOX FACE MOUSSE per half of the face onto the skin and lather it. Alternatively, you can lather the mousse in your hands and apply the foam onto the skin afterwards.

3. Switch on the Groomster using the large button at the bottom of the device´s front. To switch on the device keep the button pressed for around 2 seconds.

4. Press the same button as often until you have set the iontophoresis programme FACE CLEAN (default setting).

5. Press the small button above until you have set the required intensity level for the treatment. Default setting: left mini LED = low, plus middle mini LED = medium, plus right mini LED = high.

6. Press the large button again shortly to start the programme. The integrated time starts to count backwards. The pre-programmed treatment time is 1 minute. Accordingly, you can see 1 active light bar around the large button.

7. The iontophoresis programme is combined with Sonic Micro Circulation Technology. That means, you can “feel” the device vibrating when the programme is activated.

8. You can interrupt the treatment by pressing the large button again. You restart the treatment in the same way.

9. If the preset treatment time is over, the device switches automatically to stand-by mode.

10. To switch off the Groomster, press the large button until the display goes out.

11. Clean the bristles and the bristle head carefully under lukewarm running tap water. At the end, wipe off remaining water splashes.

12. Wash your face carefully after the treatment with clean, lukewarm water and rinse off the cleansing mousse completely.

13. Once your skin is professionally deep cleaned and detoxified, you can start the professional deep-action care and skin DNA rejuvenation treatment with the GROOMSTER and the IONTO-SONIC SEAL & PROTECT FACE DAY CREME or the IONTO-SONIC DNA REJUVENATE & REPAIR FACE NIGHT CREME. Or, you continue with a professional skin rejuvenation treatment with the BYAS FACE LIFTER and its specialized treatment serums and gels.

BODY CLEANPROFESSIONAL DEEP SKIN CLEANSING AND DETOXIFYING

What applies for the face´s skin is also valid for your body´s skin: The first step of a perfect body care regimen is the skin´s deep cleansing with the BYAS Groomster.

Today´s exposure to UV rays, unhealthy nutrition, smoking and air pollution and also the excessive use of care products..., all that also clogs the body´s skin on the surface and causes harmful waste products to form in the deeper layers. 1. Slightly moisten the skin area to be cleansed with lukewarm water at first.

2. Afterwards, apply 2-4 dispenser strokes of the IONTO-SONIC DEEP CLEAN & DETOX BODY MOUSSE onto the skin and lather it. Alternatively, you can lather the mousse in your hands and apply the foam onto the skin afterwards.


4. Press the same button as often until you have set the iontophoresis programme BODY CLEAN. Default setting: FACE CLEAN.








12. Wash your skin carefully after the treatment with clean, lukewarm water and rinse off the cleansing mousse completely.

CONTRAINDICATIONSTHE BYAS GROOMSTER MAY NOT BE USED IN CERTAIN CASES (APPLIES IF YOU USE THE GROOMSTER YOURSELF AND IF YOU CARRY OUT TREATMENTS WITH THE GROOMSTER AT OTHER PERSONS)

• At persons who wear a cardiac pacemaker or an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator).

• At persons with metal-containing intrauterine pessaries (coil) or with metallic implants in the area of the current flow or permanent fillers in the treatment area.

• At persons with a thyroid hyperfunction, in the front neck and chest area.

• At persons with multiple sclerosis.

• At persons who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• At persons on or in the area of a diseased (malignant) or operated part of the skin in the treatment area.

• At persons who currently have serious diseases, e.g. heart disease.

• At persons who have a weakened immune system, or who have immunosuppressing diseases or take immunosuppressors.

• At persons who have symptoms on the skin in the treatment area, which are not suitable for treatment, e.g. wounds, psoriasis, eczema or rashes.

• At persons who have had surgery, laser treatment or deep-action chemical peeling in the treatment area within the past 3 months or the consequences of such interventions have not yet completely receded.

• Under 18 years.

Only you know your own personal health history. Use of the BYAS Groomster and the BYAS Ionto-Sonic Special Care Products is therefore your own personal responsibility. If you are uncertain about their use or side effects, please always seek medical advice.

If you carry out treatments with the Groomster at other persons, please note the following procedure in any case:

1. Establish skin contact with one hand to the person to be treated. Only in this way the current flow is guaranteed that is required for iontophoresis treatments.

2. It can be adviseable to put a well moistened cotton pad under your fingers/hand to protect yourself and the person to be treated from redness that could occur on the skin through the current flow.

3. Use maximally intensity level MEDIUM.

WARNINGS AND USAGE ADVICESTO USE THE GROOMSTER PROPERLY,

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

• Before using the Groomster, remove all metallic jewellery (rings, piercings, etc.).

• The Groomster should not be used near shortwave and microwave therapy devices or mobile high-frequency devices (e.g. mobile phones), as these can cause fluctuations in the output values. The distance should be at least 1 meter.

• Only use the special ionized BYAS products for treatments with the Groomster. Both the device and the products are specifically matched to each other. It is not possible to achieve comparable effects with other, products (cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc.), which are not specifically ionized.

• Ensure that there is always sufficient serum, gel or cream on the skin to be treated with the Groomster´s conductive fibres to avoid possible skin irritations. Increase the quantity used, if necessary and especially if you have sensitive skin.

• The special ionized BYAS products are solely intended for external use on the skin.

• Avoid contact with eyeballs, eyelids and mucous membranes.

• Keep the Groomster and the special ionized BYAS products out of reach of children. Store them below 25° C and in a dry place.

• If your skin reacts to applications, it is your personal responsibility to seek medical advice as a precaution.

• The Groomsters treatment head is waterproof (IP level 5). It can resist water being splashed on it. However, there is no protection against complete water submersion.

• The head can be hold directly under running water to clean the bristles. The Groomster must be always completely switched off during cleaning. A mild surfactant can also be used for cleaning, but any aggressive or chemical cleaning agents.

• Do not use the Groomster while the battery is charging.

• Service work may only be carried out by authorized persons or companies.

• Do not start charging the device until the re-chargeable battery is fully discharged.

• The battery status is displayed by the mini LED that is located in the middle of the large multi-functional button.

• 100 % - 21 %: mini LED light constant “on”.

• 20 % - 0 %: mini LED light “on”, the color turns from white standard color to red light.

• Re-charging can be carried out via the mini-USB slot located at the device´s bottom end.

• Connect the USB cable supplied with the device with the mini USB plug and power adapter (standard USB plug) that is supplied with the device as well to re-charge the battery.

• The battery´s re-charging status is also displayed by the mini LED that is located in the middle of the large multi-functional button.

• 0 % - 20 %: the mini LED light is blinking in fast intervals with red light.

• 21 % - 80 %: the mini LED light is blinking in slow intervals with standard light.

• 81 % - 100 %: the mini LED light is constantly “on” again with standard light.

BATTERY STATUS & RE-CHARGING

We confirm that the BYAS Groomster complies with the guidelines of the EU regulation 2011/65/EU (Restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment), 2014/30/EU (electromagnetic compatibility) and 2014/35/EU (low voltage directive) and is thus approved for sale in the countries of the European Union. By the respective CE markings we declare the free movement of the BYAS devices.

We confirm in addition that also the BYAS special care products comply with the guidelines of the EU regulation 1223/2009 (EU Cosmetics Regulation), that they have been notified and are thus also approved for sale in the countries of the European Union.
