information about an illegal activity, a potential threat, or any type of safety issue. Examples could include information about:

Dress and Grooming School Districts have jurisdiction regarding
dress and grooming standards Dress code is established to teach grooming
and hygiene, prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards◦ District policy prohibits any clothing or grooming
that in an administrator’s judgment, may reasonably cause disruption of or interference with normal operations at school

◦ hats or head apparel are not permitted◦ Jewelry or studs, including earrings or chains, may
not be worn in any part of body except the ear lobes

Dress and Grooming If a student violates the dress code, by
either grooming or clothing, he/she will be sent home, given opportunity to correct at school, or placed in ISS for remainder of day until corrected.
Repeated dress code offenses may result in more serious disciplinary action.
