District Profile: Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) serves 53,270 students in grades EE, PK, KG - 12. The district features a dedicated Early Childhood Campus (Lillie J. Jackson) that provides Pre-Kindergarten (PK) and Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) while an additional 16 elementary campuses also provide PK classrooms and 19 elementary campuses also provide PPCD. Source: 2014-15 TAPR Report. LISD has 15 middle schools serving students in 6th grade through 8th grade, five high schools, and three 9th grade campuses. Additionally, LISD provides two Career Centers, a Night High School, and the Lewisville Learning Center. Student Demographics: 0.5% American Indian or Alaska Native, 12.3% Asian, 9.8% Black or African-American, 27.9% Hispanic, 0.1% Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, 46.2% White, and 3.2% Multi-Racial, 32.1% economically disadvantaged, 32.5% at-risk, and 14.8% limited English proficient. Staff Demographics: 0.5% American Indian or Alaska Native, 1.1% Asian, 3.9% Black or African-American, 9.8% Hispanic, 0.2% Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, 83.1% White, and 1.4% Multi-Racial. 19.4% of staff is male and 80.6% are female. Approximately 22.0% of teachers are within 1-5 years of experience. Approximately 74.3% of teachers have six or more years’ experience. Source: 2014-15 TAPR Report.
