EIGHTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Almighty Father, you have broken the tyranny of sin
and sent the Spirit of your Son into our hearts: take and receive our freedom and
bring us into the glorious liberty of the children of God; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

GET REAL Today is the last in our series Get Real: Being a Christian in the 21st Century. From next
Sunday, heading towards August which is the month of Compassion we begin looking at
what is means to "suffer with another" and be present to each other in community and
prayer for the life of the world.
WINTER WARMTH NEEDED: Blankets and men's clothes and shoes are especially needed at this time. Please bring them to the church office and they will be shared with those who need them.
702 WALK THE TALK 22 JULY 2018 Please take a map from the back of the church which shares the road closures. They are not too challenging! Most of the roads leading to St Francis are accessible.
FAMILY SERVICE 29 JULY 2018 Let's celebrate together! On 29 July we will all gather for a Family Service and special tea. This will give us a chance to say thank you to Izzy and Tanele who have been guiding our youth ministry and been so much a part of our community. They are about to go adventuring!
GOLF DAY 25 OCTOBER 2018 The Annual Golf Day, our major fundraising drive for our social outreach programmes, takes place at Parkview Golf Club. Please invite all golfers among your friends, family and neighbours to enter this fun-filled day. Entry forms available from the Church Office. Congratulations to Terri and Marlon Miller and their families on the birth of their first child, Gemma. She was born on Wednesday July 11 and mom and baby are doing well. Glory to God for the safe arrival of this precious little one.
Behold, children are a gift of the lord…” Psalm 127:3
ECO QUOTE: “But ask the animals what they think—let them teach you; let the birds tell you what’s going on. Put your ear to the earth—learn the basics. Listen—the fish in the ocean will tell you their stories. Isn’t it clear that they all know and agree that GOD is sovereign, that he holds all things in his hand—Every living soul, yes, every breathing creature?” Job 12:7-10 (The Message)
