2018 Family of Distinction Dr. & Mrs. Raymond Mascolo and Family

The 2018 Family of Distinction

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, Saint Anthony’s High School will honor and celebrate the Mascolo Family at its annual Black & Gold Gala at the Crest Hollow Country Club.

Ray and Evelyn Mascolo were married in 1976 (at the age of 21) and moved to Virginia, where Ray attended Georgetown University Dental School while Evelyn worked while Ray studied. After graduation and a residency at Georgetown Hospital, Ray worked in a number of dental practices before their first child Michele was born. It was then that they decided to move back to New York and to their respective families. Ray began his own practice in East Northport where he and their son Thomas still practice today.

The Mascolo Family has been totally immersed in the community since moving to Long Island. Firm believers in Catholic education – Ray is a graduate of Archbishop Molloy High School and Evelyn attended Dominican Commercial – they sent both Michele and Thomas to Saint Anthony’s High School – Class of 1999 and Class of 2003 respectively.

Michele is recently married to her husband Jason and works as a paralegal for an estate law firm. Thomas met his wife Nicole while attending Adelphi University. They both went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, and, upon graduation, they both returned home to New York where Nicole attended an orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Thomas, a general residency at the Northport VA Medical Center.

Ray and Evelyn have always instilled a strong work ethic in their children and have always encouraged their children to “give back”, and, trust me, after 42 years of marriage they are still leading by example.

Ray is a long time member of the Fathers’ Guild who has worked tirelessly on behalf of Saint Anthony’s High School. In addition, Ray has led by quiet example for hundreds of people, causes, religious and civic organizations. Thomas has become an integral member of the Executive Committee for Saint Anthony’s Golf Classic held annually the first Monday in May.

Saint Anthony’s is truly blessed and honored to bestow its 2018 Family of Distinction on the Mascolo Family.
