The Controller of Certifying Authorities, Government of India has issued an office order that mandates issuance of Digital Signature Certificates only on receipt of physical application Form at the Certifying Authority s offices, along with valid supporting documents and verification and attestations thereof. This order comes into effect from 1st of October 2013. In view of this, following is the process that eMudhra will follow for issuance of digital signature certificates:

RA will key in and submit the Applicant details in eMudhra portal after verifying and attesting the supporting documents and Application Form.

The attested physical Application Form along with attested valid supporting documents to be dispatched to one of the eMudhra offices listed in this mail below.

eMudhra on receipt of physical Application Form with supporting documents will verify and approve the certificate request.

This process change might impact the time taken for issuance of DSC. Following are the precautionary steps that can help quicker issuances to our customers.

Use the Application Forms provided by eMudhra (click her for reference). Usage of other formats , designs or version might result in rejections.

Ensure the Application Form is complete in all respect – all fields are filled correctly, Applicant signature is available, correct supporting documents are attached, all documents are attested and verifications have been carried out at your end.

Ensure the Application Form and supporting documents are correctly numbered with eMudhra Application No, and comes to eMudhra office in one set.

Though it will be our endeavour to minimize the issuance time. There is a certain verification that will happen at our end. Hence the cycle time for issuance will be much more than the current time. All urgent cases or time bound needs of our customers may please be addressed before 30th of September 2013.
