Operating a fleet of 30 satellites which deliver reach of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, significant parts of the Americas and the Asia-Pacific, Eutelsat has the ability and means to harmonize the power of satellites and ground-level services. Eutelsat has pioneered live broadcasting of events to a network of local halls and cinemas throughout Europe. DSAT Cinema’s Network Operation Centre (NOC) controls the whole transmission process in real time, from capturing the event to delivery via the satellite decoders, ensuring quality of sound and image at every step of the way. DSAT Cinema also operates an efficient hotline providing support to cinemas before, during and after live transmissions.

DSAT Cinema provides a one-stop service to alternative content providers including turnarounds from/to other satellites, one-site uplink station, control of the whole transmission chain…

Satellite distribution ensures a reliable and secure end-to-end connection. Content is distributed in real-time from the Hub to all cinemas in the coverage areas. Network access is immediate and independent of terrestrial connections. Providing the fastest download speeds available, a 150 Gbytes digital film takes just 3 hours to deliver.Dual Hub (France, Italy) infrastructure forcontent transmission allowing a true redundancy and avoiding waiting queues.
