Arlington Woodworking can make it happen for you.
Arlington Woodworking, Inc. is a passed-down family business that has served the cabinetry industry since 1978 with quality in custom and architectural millwork.
We serve in remodeling homes in many areas and can work with almost any architectural style including, but not limited to, contemporary, traditional and country. There is no project too big or too small; we can handle it all! Our portfolio of design work includes kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and beyond, encompassing everything from simple storage shelves to full-blown kitchen remodeling designs. Examples of our work can also be seen at libraries, police stations, hospitals, and schools all over the county.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Rafael Iamiceli, the president of Arlington, quotes, “My dad left me a responsibility and a challenge that I am proud to strive to fulfill. He taught me that many things are required for success, the most important being that the customer always comes first.”
The Yorktown Jewish Center was founded in 1952 by a group of residents who originally worshipped in their homes, and were seeking to build a Jewish community in the area. 65 years later, after several renovations and expansions, this conservative synagogue has blossomed serving the needs of Jewish families from Yorktown and the surrounding communities. We are a traditional, egalitarian synagogue that offers a spiritual home for Jewish families and individuals from every background. Our synagogue family, led by Rabbi Seth Sternstein, invites you to join us as we explore the richness of Jewish life, through meaningful prayer services, holiday observances and learning. We believe in sharing and enhancing your simchas, and supporting you during life’s difficult times. Rabbi Emeritus Stanley Urbas still engages our members leading spiritual and intellectual classes. We strive to meet the religious, spiritual, educational and social needs of our community. The goal of our Hebrew school is to develop in each child pride in his or her identity. We accomplish this goal through positive encouragement with their teachers, and individualizing instruction in the history, culture, traditions and mitzvoth so each child has a sense of their place in the community. Our Sisterhood is a vibrant arm of the synagogue, offering its members a variety of programs, fun and friendship. These women are very active participants of our Shabbat services and are the heart and soul of the synagogue.
The YJC’s Men’s Club is actively engaged in the life of the center. With programs focusing on the religious, social, and service interests of its members, these men welcome all in a spirit of camaraderie and friendship.Helping those in our community who are in need, whether it be to provide a meal at the Jan Peek house, donating Thanksgiving baskets to local families or providing undergarments for retired veterans, our members perform mitzvoth coordinated by our Social Action committee.Regardless of one’s past Jewish experience, the YJC is a warm and welcoming place where each individual can build new friendships and long-term relationships within a Jewish context. And finally, wherever we stand, we stand with Israel

What a year it has been so far! Before we know it the holidays and celebrations will be upon us. So many events have taken place, so many new members and friends have been made. All of which have made our Chamber so successful. If you have never joined us for one of our events, please do so soon. It will be worth your time and effort.
As always your Chamber has been hard at work implementing ways in which to help your business grow. As you can see from the calendar of events on page 5, there are many ways in which the Chamber can help you promote your business. The key ingredient to our success is YOU.
We are less than two weeks away from the Ninth Annual Festival & Street Fair. Over the years it has become one of the largest and most anticipated events in town. Commerce Street and Veterans Road will be filled with hundreds of exhibitors with something for everyone. Attendees will have an opportunity to bring out the best looks for their dogs to show off by participating in the Dog Costume Contest & Parade. For those with a sweet tooth, there will be a Cupcake Eating Contest sponsored by Funtime Amusements, where the top winner will receive a special prize and bragging rights. Kids of all ages will enjoy amazing rides and attractions provided by Funtime Amusements. Fidelis Care NY, an event sponsor, will bring the New City Football Club to the festival with the interactive marketing “Striker” vehicle for people to test their soccer skills with professional staff members. Come ready to bring out your competitive spirit with the inflatable kick wall accuracy challenge as well as an Xbox One FIFA video game tournament. Yorktown Soccer Club will supply a jumbo soccer field for the kids to come and test their skills. On the main stage there will be live continuous entertainment and open mic musical talents coordinated by Bob Hill.
Our first breakfast networking meeting after the summer break will be on October 3 at the Coach Diner in Yorktown Heights featuring guest speaker, Salvatore DiCostanzo of
Maker, Fragale & Di Costanzo, LLP. Please try to attend. Projecting into the future we are excited about our Holiday Party which will be held this year at Savannah’s Southern House on December 7 and our Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop on Sunday, December 31. There are so many things happening around town and we cannot lose our vision for the future. Keep the Chamber events in your mind and join us as often as you like.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone that makes a contribution to this organization. Please join me in reenergizing ourselves and our businesses to help make our Chamber a continued success. Remember, it’s all of us working together that makes Yorktown a better place to live and make a living.
As always, my door is open to all members with any concerns or suggestions.

Think smalland big things will happen.
Mohegan Lake Motors opened as a small Volkswagen Dealership in 1969 on route 6. Our philosophy was... take care of all the small things and big things will happen. Treating our customers with respect and taking care of every need, and every detail no matter how small is what Mohegan Lake Motors has
Mohegan Lake MotorsRt 6 Mohegan Lake, NY (914) 528-8076
been doing for over 49 years. Today, Mohegan Lake Motors is one of the oldest and most respected Volkswagen Dealerships in the Northeast. Along the way with your support weʼve added an Audi Dealership. And even though the cars we sell today are more complex than ever, our philosophy
has never changed. Doing business this way is just our way of life. Itʼs more than just a great deal which you get, itʼs a total experience which is why so many clients continue to come back to Mohegan Lake Motors year after year. Think small and big things will happen.
