2013 Highlights

• 492 completed nominations submitted (27% increase YoY)

• 1800 people participated in the nomination process comprised of nominations and supporting testimonials

• 36 states and 24 unique sports had at least one coach nominated

• National Youth Sports Organizations solicited award nominations within their respective organizations including AYSO, Little League International, USA Water Polo, US Lacrosse, US Youth Soccer, USA Softball, USA Hockey, and USA Wrestling

• 55 media hits with more than 60% of them mentioning the lead sponsor

National Awards Program - 2013/14• PCA will solicit nominations from October – December 2013

Outreach includes:• PCA’s National Partners’ solicitation/involvement• Direction communication via email, website and social media• Local chapter outreach and board engagement (160+ local leaders in

ten markets)• Outreach to all local school and YSO partners and prospects (approx

7,000)• Fifty (50) finalists selected by January 31, 2014

• Background check on each finalist prior to announcement• Media outreach for all 50 finalists• Finalists receive a PCA certificate and signed PCA book

• Twenty (20) National Award winners selected by February 28, 2014• Phone interviews with every winner prior to announcement• Individual press release and media outreach for all 20 winners• Winners receive $250 cash award and trophy• PCA aims to have all winners recognized at a professional sports

Events

Ten (10) Regional Events• Each PCA chapter will hold an awards

event in Spring/Summer 2014• Media outreach around each event• Winners and finalists in chapter markets

will receive recognition

One National Event• National Youth Sports Awards scheduled for April 2014 at Stanford

University (Deloitte is also a sponsor of this event)• Top three winners will be selected to attend and speak at this event• Joe Ehrmann to receive PCA’s Lifetime Achievement Award• Expected attendance of 500+ people

UnitedHealth Group Partnership• All communication around the Double-Goal Coach Awards will

be: Double-Goal Coach® Award Presented by UnitedHealth Group

• Award nominations will be promoted in all PCA live workshops that take place from 9/1/13 - 12/31/13

• Promotion in all PCA email communications (at least 15 times) with a distribution list of 70k+ coaches and parents (and growing!)

• Social media campaign via Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin• Outreach to select National Advisory Board members

• Outreach to National Youth Sports Organizations with an expected distribution of ~400,000 coaches and parents

• Hospitality offered at regional and national events

• UHG to engage NFL, NBA and MLS partners to promote Double-Goal Coach Awards through their community network
