Gilles Domartini, founder and CEO

Gilles has spent the last 15 years pushing the boundaries to create innovative and sustainable online successes in multi-national corporations.

Previously he was Vice-President of Consumer Online activities at Philips where he built from scratch a talented new team to transform Philips into a more agile, consumer-centric organization which now embraces the online opportunity in 57 countries. Under his tenure, Philips online traffic grew by 4 times and online revenue multiplied by 10. Philips picked up a host of awards for online achievements, including in 2008 and 2010 “Best Global Consumer Electronics website” from Byte Level Research, ahead of Samsung, Nokia, and Microsoft.

Prior to that, Gilles spent 5 years at Apple as General Manager of the Apple Europe online stores. Under his leadership, the Apple online stores grew from a marginal business into the single largest retailer of Apple products in Europe, with close to a Billion US$ of revenue.

Gilles started his career in marketing management roles at Packard Bell where he developed the first online presence of the core brand and their Internet Service Provider, then called Planetis. Gilles is a graduate of Espeme / EDHEC business school in Lille/France, and Aston University, Birmingham/UK. Originally from south of France, he now lives with his wife and three kids in Amsterdam.
