OPEN FOR BUSINESS!
Several new businesses obtained their certificate of occupancy in December to add to the dining, shopping, and service options to Prosper residents. This is just the beginning of a wave of new businesses coming to Prosper. Next month even more businesses will open their doors. In addition to the rapid commercial growth, the Town issued a record of 777 single family residential permits in 2017. That is a 16% increase over the 669 permits issued in 2016.

Code Compliance Continued
Multiple properties were notified of bulk collection violations in December. Beginning in January 2018 items for bulk collection cannot be placed at the curb earlier than the Saturday morning before the scheduled Monday pickup.
Code Enforcement staff participated in the 2017 Christmas Festival, providing educational material regarding property maintenance and citizen engagement.
1900 Block of FM 1385: Owner went to court on the three (3) remaining dilapidated trailers on December 7, 2017; the case was reset for February 8, 2018.
200 Block of Chapel Hill: Received a complaint regarding lot-to-lot drainage. A courtesy letter was mailed to the resident regarding the violation and suggestions on how to alleviate the drainage issue.
