Program overview

The 2017 Certification Program qualification period begins July 1, 2016 and runs through June 30, 2017 . The program’s objective is to assist you in obtaining financial return on all Sales, Service, PAC and Operational investments . The benefits that will begin on July 1, 2017 represent a tangible demonstration of our desire to invest in your dealership and grow our business together . We look forward to continued growth and mutual success in the year ahead .

To participate in the BRP Certification Program, a dealer must satisfy all the terms and conditions of the BRP Dealer Agreement .

* In many cases, dealers may cure non-satisfactory terms and conditions throughout the year. Non-satisfied items must be cured prior to the introduction of subsequent elements and / or requirements.

Failure to satisfy the terms and conditions results in non-compliance and precludes access to any program rewards and benefits .

1 Access to Certification

Annual Purchase Commitment With their Evinrude Sales representative, dealer shall agree upon their Annual Purchase Commitment and submit, in writing, to BRP no later than October 31st of each Program Year.

Mininum Engine Purchase RequirementsDealer agrees to purchase, at minimum, 500 HP from BRP between July 1st and June 30th of the current Program Year.

Mininum Parts, Accessory & Clothing Purchase RequirementsDealer agrees to purchase PAC from BRP totaling the minimum requirement as outlined in the Dealer Agreement at Dealer invoice price for each BRP Program year.

BRP Evinrude Exterior SignDealership must have a permanent, illuminated exterior BRP Evinrude authorized Dealer sign. All BRP Evinrude signs shall be free of damages at all times. All outdated signage shall be removed and replaced. Refer to the 2017 Evinrude Dealer Binder for ordering details.

Signs must be installed at current location and a photo sent to: evinrudecertification@brp .com along with dealer number.

1 Access to Certification

Mandatory Service TrainingDealer shall employ, at all times, at least one (1) Certified Technician in accordance with BRP’s applicable Certified Technician Program. Refer to the 2017 Evinrude Dealer Binder for requirements.

Newly signed Dealers must have one service technician who successfully completes:

1. “EssentialsTM” distance learning training programs within ninety (90) days

2. OB2 training the first Program Year

3. OB3 certification by the end of the second Program Year

Mandatory Sales TrainingDealers are strongly encouraged to train as many of their sales staff as possible through BRPTI (BRP Training Institute), but a minimum of one dealership sales person must successfully complete the mandatory training modules. Refer to the 2017 Evinrude Dealer Binder for requirements. New dealers will be allowed, from the effective date of their agreement, ninety (90) days to complete.

Once Compliant, you are eligible to achieve one of the following Certification statuses .

A Non-Compliant Dealer has not satisfied the terms and conditions of the BRP Dealer Agreement.

Dealer has satisfied the terms and conditions of the BRP Dealer Agreement and met 5 out of 9 criteria .

Dealer has satisfied the terms and conditions of the BRP Dealer Agreement and has met 7 out of 9 criteria .

Dealer has satisfied the terms and conditions of the BRP Dealer Agreement and has met 9 out of the 9 criteria .

New Dealer ProcessNew dealers with a dealer activation date between July 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016 will be eligible for certification based on their performance in that current program year.

New Dealers with a dealer activation date between January 1, 2017 and June 30, 2017 will become eligible to qualify for the certification program the following program year.

Buyouts Because buyouts are unique, they will be reviewed individually. In cases where the purchasing dealer keeps the location, the building and the personnel as is, the new dealer may continue to receive rewards as per the previous dealer’s level of achievement and hold the same status as his predecessor.

Certification status is earned on a yearly basis . In order to participate in BRP Certification Program, you must be an active BRP retail dealer .

2 Get Certified

Achieve Level 1 Order StatusCriteria Dealer must achieve Level 1 status and accept full delivery of their annual HP commitment by Program Year end.

Measurement

This criterion is assessed once a year on June 30th (end of program year), based on the total number of engines and HPs ordered and shipped during the program year.

Participate in the Annual Evinrude Fall Stocking Program Criteria Place a Qualifying BRP Free Freight (Fall Stocking) Order through Order Pro.

Dealer must place a qualifying BRP Free Freight (Fall Stocking) PAC stocking order by November 30, 2016.

Measurement

Dealer placed qualifying order by November 30, 2016.

2 Get Certified

Participate in the Fall or Spring Oil ProgramCriteria Dealer must place at least one qualifying Fall Oil or Spring Oil Program order according to the published deadline with the Parts and Accessories programs.

Measurement

Dealer places qualifying Fall or Spring Order.

Participate in Club and/or WebinarCriteria Dealer must have one representative attend Club BRP or attend Webinar, if applicable.

Measurement

Participation in an annual dealer meeting will be measured through your registration with BRP Evinrude.

Participation in a dealer webinar will be measured as you log in with your dealer number and only if you attend the full session.

2 Get Certified

POP Material Criteria Display Annual and Boat Show POP Material.

Dealer must display annual Evinrude POP kit and Boat Show POP material visibly in showroom.

Measurement

To be recognized as having completed this criteria, 2 photos of POP on display (one annual POP kit and one Boat Show POP) must be sent to [email protected] no later than March 1, 2017.

Display BRP Evinrude Logo on dealer website homepage Criteria Dealership must have a website displaying the current BRP Evinrude Logo (as pictured here) on its homepage. BRP Evinrude logo must be comparable in size to the logo of other outboard engine brands carried by dealer.

Measurement

Dealer must email dealer number and URL of dealership website homepage showing the Evinrude logo to [email protected] for validation by March 1, 2017.

Display, at minimum, one Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine in showroom at all times Criteria Dealer must display, at minimum, 1 Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine visibly in showroom. Engine can be on an engine stand (loose) or on a boat/motor package.

One photo must be sent by March 1, 2017 to: [email protected]

Actively use BOSSWeb Criteria Dealer must utilize BOSSWeb on a regular basis to report eligible claims, registrations and PAC Orders.

Measurement

To be recognized as having completed this criterion 75% of dealer claims, registrations and PAC orders must be placed through BOSSWeb.

Lead ManagementCriteria Dealer must follow up and update the status of their consumer leads on BOSSWeb within 12 hours to ensure they continue receiving leads.

Measurement

Dealers have not been turned off from receiving new leads. 13

Priority Recognition on Dealer Locator

Dealer locator is a service provided by BRP. It directs over 100,000 consumers to the closest BRP dealership each year. Evinrude’s new dealer locator will easily allow consumers to find not only their closest dealer, but also dealers that meet BRP’s highest standards. Each Silver, Gold and Platinum Dealer will be identified on BRP websites and their Certification status will be indicated. A Non-Compliant Dealer will appear but not be recognized. A description of the levels will be included to help consumers understand the added value each Certification status brings to the sales and service interaction.

Enhanced Performance Rebate ProgramThe Performance Rebate Program was designed to increase profit opportunities with Evinrude and to reward dealers for performance. Platinum dealers receive an additional .50%.

Reduced Dealer Contribution Fee for Consumer Retail ProgramsRetail programs often require a $1/HP Contribution Fee for Consumer Retail programs. Platinum dealers are not charged this fee.

Increase % of Warranty Labor RatesCertified Dealers receive an increased percentage of warranty labor rates up to 110% resulting in increased profits.

Increase in Warranty Parts Handling FeeCertified Dealers receive an increased percentage of warranty parts handling fee up to 130% resulting in increased profits.

Free Hands-On Service Training Platinum Certified dealers receive one Free Hands-On Service Training Course (not to include travel and lodging).

Platinum SignSignage is the most important first impression you can make with consumers. Representing your dealership as ‘the best of the best’ with Platinum signage helps build a strong brand image with existing and new consumers. First time Platinum dealers receive the complete sign and consecutive years receive year plates.

Certification Polo ShirtsEach Platinum Certified dealer receives two Platinum Polo shirts with the option to purchase more for staff members.

Recognition in trade publicationsBRP Evinrude will recognize its Platinum Dealers with a Platinum advertisement message in a boating industry publication. The message included in the publication will mention the dealership name, city and state for each dealer.

Co-op Advertising ProgramIn Program Year 2018, Platinum Certified dealers will qualify for Co-op advertising dollars to help promote Evinrude in their local markets and drive consumer traffic.

Co-op funds will be up to 2% of the total dollar value of engine shipments that occur in Program Year 2018. Co-Op can be used for print ads, digital banner ads, TV commercials, radio spots, and much more!

BRP reserves the right to audit all information and documentation provided by dealers under this program. Any violation of the terms, conditions or spirit of this program will entail a withdrawal of the criterion awarded and a charge back for costs or incentives paid by BRP, without waiving any other recourse available to BRP, under the mutually agreed upon terms and conditions of the BRP Dealer Agreement.
